Hello and thank you for reaching out to me regarding the 2017-2018 Myers family scholarship award. Unfortunately I did not get in to the Maricopa Concurrent Nursing Program this fall semester; I spoke with an advise who said that the waiting list can laste anywhere from a year to two and the half years. My plan for next year is to either start with the Maricopa Nursing Program if I happened to get in or I'm going to enroll in a private nursing school to complete my BSN in no time. I'm half way through with most of the classes most nursing school requires for a BSN, I did my research on the pricing, length of program, and the schools success rate. I will be starting with Brooklyn College in the spring of 2018, if I don't hear from Phoenix College…show more content… The way I see it is that even thought Brooklyn College is charging me $17000 more than Phoenix College, however I could be done in half of the time it will take me to wait. I could be done with school, work half the next two years and pay off my student loans. I signed up for 11 credits hours’ courses for the fall semester which starts in August of this year at Phoenix College. These classes will count toward my BSN degree and it will also help cease my stress levels of being on the waiting list. I’m giving Maricopa six more months of my life to wait, if nothing works out by December, I will transfer my credits to Brooklyn and will be set to begin their BSN program on January 1st of next year. I do not expect the Myer's Family to help me in this journey because the done enough for my family and myself. I'm someone who like to take their time when making life changing decision, because I like to think about what if this happened or that goes wrong to better prepare myself. In my understanding life is not a race, because everyone story is different. I made up my mad about school and I discussed my plans with my family and they agree to support through it. I've waited enough, done my research, and have also exposed myself to the health care
