In an article, the author writes about Linda Stender, an American Democratic Party politician who says, “‘Such games,’ she claimed, ‘send a message that “violence and death have no consequences outside their TV screens’” (“Violent Video Games”). The violent video games show children that hurting or killing someone earns a person points in the video game and that there are only positive consequences and advantages. Having these grisly thoughts in a child’s mind cannot be good for a child’s mental health.
