In the book Within Reach: My Everest Story, the main character, Mark Pfetzer, a 13 year old boy decides he wants to be the youngest adolescent to climb Mt. Everest. Failing to pursue his dream, Mark Pfetzer spent too much money on trying to climb Mt. Everest three times. With the help of many adults, Mark summits many mountains but not Everest at a young age. Mark portrays many different types of traits throughout the book. But the ones that stood out the most were lonely, determined, and brave. This is a fortunate trait because being a climber on the tallest mountain in the world, I’d be hard to climb with some determination to keep going on. Overall I think Mark Pfetzer is
