During the market revolution of the late eighteenth through the mid-nineteenth centuries, America experienced several significant transformations. Some of those changes included increased and efficient economic activities, the growth of urban areas, and industrialization. The market revolution also changed some Americans’ ideas about what freedom and liberty meant to them. Freedom now included an individual’s ability for self-improvement both economically and personally (Foner 267-268). They also could then help prevent fires like in cities like Chicago. But other then that three other things that helped the industrial boom like the railroads, immigration, and new technology.
