Market Trends
Technology is always changing. In everything we use be it computers, cars, or everyday uses, technology will be changed to make our lives better. Technology in cars for example first came out to allow us to get somewhere quickly and safely. Today cars are much more different and they have more technology in the cars to help with travel and making more comfortable while you are traveling. People as of late are upset because they have to pay more for gas to get from home to work or anywhere they have to travel to. We have heard from many potential customers that they are upset that when they buy gas for the month is the same as an actual car payment.
Now because technology in cars has been changing, this has given rise to the hybrid and electric cars. The hybrid cars are a mix of gasoline and electric. While driving under forty miles per hour, the car will run on electricity. Anything over that will be run by gasoline. Hybrid is a good one but you still have filled a tank with some gasoline. Cars now are getting better mileage than they were many years ago.
In the USA, hybrid car sales has been encouraged by state emission laws, green-tech-trendiness and by the fact that hybrids were seen to offer better MPG (miles per gallon) than standard gas-powered cars. (Bhunnoo, M.)
Now to the electric cars, they have been out for a long time but people don’t use them because their batteries didn’t last as long. There is also the flex fuel which allows choosing either regular gas or ethanol. By the end of the 1980s, flexfuel technology developed by Bosch was already available in the United States. (De Souza)
With opening the Winsol Company we plan on using a couple of different technologies that will ensure that you won’t have to use gasoline ever again. We have seen an update in solar and wind generators and we will combine these two and place them into our new breed of cars.
We will also introduce newer batteries that will be used to help improve how long you will be able to drive on a charge. Also because we will have two forms of charging while you drive, drivers will be able to drive longer and go farther than anyone could drive on one tank of gas or one charge. The solar panels will be positioned throughout the vehicle to give it a greater chance on collecting the solar power. Now the best feature is going to be the wind generators. While you are driving and if you’re low on charge, you can open up the grill and wind will start going through the car. This will move the wind generators and cause them to start charging the batteries while you drive. This will improve on the whole driving experience and help those that are unable to purchase gasoline every week. Our designs will allow for multiple generators to be used to recharge the batteries when it is needed.
Before we even do anything we will set up test markets to see which areas will respond well to the new product. We would like to see customers excited about a way to save their money and to help be a little more green in their everyday lives. We will sit the group down and ask them questions like “If there was a better way to get from home to work would be willing to try it.” Another question is “if there was an electric car that doesn’t need to plug in and charges itself would you like to buy it?” Another way to see if people would like to try is by allowing them to test drive the new product.
While we are doing the test drive, we will ask them what they think about the new vehicle. We will gauge their facial expressions along with any verbal usage to see if there are any hidden things we can talk about during the ride along. This is a great way to see if they will like the new product and how they think it runs. During the testing if it’s not a smooth ride then we can make the necessary changes to make it better. We want our customers to enjoy the ride and see how much better it would be to use alternative fuel.
As more and more electrified vehicles hit the floors of car dealerships, conventional wisdom has it that the market won't get moving without richer incentives and dense battery-charging networks.
(Hensley, R.)
In the end we want to see what the customers really think of the new vehicle. After the surveying, and test driving we should have an accurate idea on what people are wanting. People normally like the newer things and if it helps the environment. Having newer products that will help save on a costs and repairers, these are things that many customers are looking for. Not everyone is made of money, so having a reasonable priced vehicle will help out all of the people that want something like that. Technology is ever changing and each time it makes life a bit better.

...During the 1950s, the Korean War, the Algerian War, the Cold War and other political tensions such as the Cuban Revolution, as well as widespread political and economic changes in Africa during the initial stages of European Decolonization, did not stop the Dow's bullish climb higher. Additionally, the U.S. would also make its way through two grinding recessions; one in 1953 and another in 1958. A 200% increase in the average from a level of 206 to 616 ensued over the course of that decade. The Dow fell 22.61% on Black Monday (1987) from about the 2,500 level to around 1,750. Two days later, it rose 10.15% above the 2,000 level for a mild recovery attempt. The Dow's bullish behavior began to stall during the 1960s as the U.S. became entangled with foreign political issues. U.S. military excursions included the Bay of Pigs Invasion involving Cuba, the Vietnam War, the Portuguese Colonial War, theColombian civil war which the U.S. assisted with short-lived counter-guerrilla campaigns, as well as domestic issues such as theCivil Rights Movement and several influential political assassinations. For the decade though, and despite a mild recession between 1960 and 1961, the average still managed a respectable 30% gain from the 616 level to 800. The 1970s marked a time of economic uncertainty and troubled relations between the U.S. and certain Middle-Eastern countries. To begin with, the decade started off with the ongoing Recession of 1969–70. Following that, the 1970s Energy Crisisensued...
