One of the most famous deaf actress is Marlee Matlin. Marlee Matlin was born on August 24, 1965. She lost her hearing when she was 18 months old from a disease roseola. She grew up the youngest of three kids. Her two older brothers ( Marc and Eric ) learned sign language so they could communicate with Marlee. She always felt left out in her family because she was the only deaf one in the family. She went to a non deaf school because her parents wanted her to get used to real life even though she’s learning sign language. She got married to Kevin Grandalski and had four kids ( Isabelle Jane, Brandon Joseph, Tyler Daniel, and Sara Rose.)
