This is a beautiful poem by Mary Pinkoski, which she calls a “prayer to the earth for [her] sister on her graduation (Pinskoski 98)”. She tries to prompt her sister through this piece, who is suffering from the Down’s syndrome. This poem offers various analogies and real examples from nature, which could be easily related with the life of a reader and make the readers motivated. Most of the words in this poem make reader to feel powerful and inspirational in order to conquer all hurdles of life.
