Matty through all the things that he has done has affected multiple things and multiple people in a positive manner. He is one of the most impactful people around helping the people of Village, Forest and his friends all throughout his time that he spent with them. The way that Matty impacts people through his actions is amazing.

Matty and forest throughout the book stayed loyal to Village even though he did not agree with what they did and through doing this was able to impact it for the better. Before Village became corrupted by greed and hate Matty still helped village greatly. Matty by doing this possibly was able effect millions of things like the trees, bushes, plants and animals. Doing this made a huge impact to everyone who lives in or near the forest or relies on the forest resources to be able to survive. We do not know what would have happened if Matty did not heal forest and cure it from what was polluting it. If Matty did not heal forest it could have been possible for forest to be able to grow out and destroy villages that were around it or in it. As we found out during the time that Matty was coming back from getting Kira Forest was able to grow noxious ooze and vines through its own will. So through sacrificing himself to heal Forest not only did he cure the people of Village of their greed and hatred but he actually possibly saved every single community that lives in, around or near forest meaning that he has impacted thousands of people's lives by preventing Forest from possibly being able to grow out and Murder the people in nearby Villages including the people who live Village. The things that Forest had the capability to do where frightening and if Matty did not stop forest it could of killed thousands and thousands of people easily. First of all Kira as we know in Gathering blue Matty was greatly impacted by Kira and their friendship so much so that Matty went out to Village found Seerer Kira’s dad brought and brought him back because he wanted to make Kira happy . But Kira has been impacted a lot from Matty through the things that she has done the most important one of the things that he has done to impact Kira had to have been when he went through Forest with her. We all remember to the end of the book when Matty was bringing Kira through forest how much he tried to protect her instead of himself. When Matty first encountered the Swamp ooze coming off of the vines his reaction to it was to have it drop on him instead of on Kira and he did this until his skin and arms became so badly damaged that he was almost unable to use his hands all while keeping Kira safe and out of trouble. But the biggest impact that Matty had on Kira was when they were both on the edge of death Matty sacrificed himself to be able to heal everything around him including Kira. Through that sacrifice Matty greatly impacted Kira’s life by literally stopping her from dying by putting himself in the grave for her making a huge impact on her. Seerer has made a huge impact to Matty but not in the same way as Kira did but Seerer was able to make an impact on Matty is a different way. Seerer gave Matty a father figure to look
