ABSTRACT The banking industry has undergone a sea change after the first phase of economic liberalization in 1991 and hence credit management. While the primary function of banks is to lend funds as loans to various sectors such as agriculture, industry, personal loans, housing loans etc., in recent times the banks have become very cautious in extending loans, this is due to mounting nonperforming assets (NPAs). Therefore, an NPA account not only reduces profitability of banks by provisioning in the profit and loss account, but their carrying cost is also increased which results in excess & avoidable management attention. Apart from this, a high level of NPA also puts strain on a banks net worth because banks are under pressure to maintain a desired level of Capital Adequacy and in the absence of comfortable profit level, banks eventually look towards their internal financial strength to fulfill the norms thereby slowly eroding the net worth. Considering all the above facts banking industry has to give more importance to NPA and to structure proper remedial solutions. Key words: Assets restructuring company, Global competition, Rate of return, Repayment schedule, Lok Adalats. 1. ...leadership as expressed in service to others for the common benefit of humanity. In 2009, Hariri Canadian University (HCU) started its MBA program in 2009, with only 7 students enrolled in class. It offered MBA education with one emphasis which is General Management. Although HCU’s MBA merely has a history of 3 years, it has already gained a good reputation. Today in 2012, the registration rates show an increase as the number of students reached 26. MBA applicants are increasing slowly. Two fundamental reasons contribute to this increase. On one hand, MBA is needed in the workplace. More students are choosing MBA due to pressures from their current jobs. On the other hand, the Lebanese culture regards education as a vital tool for progress and social welfare. The achievement MBA is winning wide social acceptance and is said to improve education quality. Although HCU is ranked as the 11th among the top universities in Lebanon, maintaining a good position at the educational industry is not easy. The educational industry in Lebanon is very competitive, having more than 41 accredited universities and vocational institutes. However, Universities in general face a difficult barrier when they plan to enter the MBA education or expand the range of its specifications because of the accreditation process and evaluation system for the qualification of MBA. Report on Tesla Motors

...Investment Highlights GreenTech: Tesla Motors Poster Child for Green Mobility NeXt Up! www.nextupresearch.com With over 1063 Roadsters sold, Tesla, in our view, is the first to achieve commercial scale in sale of high performance electric cars. Our model assumes only sales of 4200 Model S (to be launched in 2012) cars even in 2015, which could prove conservative given Tesla‟s expectations for 20k cars a year. We note that Tesla has booked over 2200 orders for Model S. We expect the NUMMI plant (with a theoretical capacity of 400k cars) in Fremont to give the company ability to expand production at low capital cost. We expect Daimler and Toyota to provide for high recurring revenues in terms of powertrain sales. Unlike many of its competitors, Tesla has developed its own battery pack. We note that battery packs account for 30 – 40% of a car‟s cost, offering Tesla significant advantages as it scales. The company should be able to offer multiple models (such as SUV, minivans, sedans) based off the same platform without having to make significant R&D investment. June 29, 2010 Our valuation of $1.74 - $1.88B reflects stronger OEM sales offset by weaker Roadster revenues. Our revised per share price of $17.01 to $18.37 reflects the recent 3 to 1 reverse stock split and additional shares from the public offering. We note that the IPO (on 6/29/10) is priced at $17 per share. Investment Concerns The cost of ownership for Tesla Roadster is significantly higher than for...
