On February 17, 2012, the little community of Houlka changed forever, though not being from there but growing up just one community over, it struck hard to everyone around. On February 19, 2012, an innocent, young child named Mekenzie Young passed away in a tragic car accident. Though that day sweet Mekenzie lost her life, she gave life to many others.
