The purpose of this memo is to appeal for funding for Floyd Sea to attend a Business Communications course. As an Accounts/Receivable Coordinator this course will help improve my ability to record strong, concise, and effective messages in proficient method.
Being a part of this course will afford me with a prospective for communication improvement and allow me to better connect in my writing with colleagues and co-workers. This course will allow and inspire me to communicate more effectively, meanwhile helps me save time and effort in redoing documents and giving clear explanations of the tasks. It will strengthen my ability to communicate effectively on the job by teaching me how to compose messages using a structured business writing process.

The course is titled, GB512 Business Communications and is being offered at Kaplan University. The 6 week course was set to start on February 5, 2014. The cost of the course is $1614.40, which contains books and necessary course materials. Since the course is offered online, all course work and attendance will be in the morning so it will not interrupt my current scheduled time at work.

I think taken this course will be a great positive improvement in business between the different units. Involvement in this course will give me access to other thoughts which allow the company to focus more skillfully on standardize our developments before focusing on time and funds. The company will directly benefit from my attendance in this course by having an employee that can write and clear and concise documents that accomplish its business objectives and that will require no proof-reading or editing, thereby freeing up more time for our unit lead
