Zaugg,…show more content… However, in my personal and professional growth I can use virtual team tips. In addition, unit four I was able to participate in virtual team in the team project. I was able to apply the use of technology with daily interaction during the discussion board. This article helped me understand how to address the many challenges that could be potentially faced via virtual teams solely communicating via the internet. According to Daft (2014), a virtual team is group of geographically dispersed members who are linked primarily through advanced telecommunication technologies. A global team is a cross boarder team from multiple countries made up of members from different nationalities (Daft, 2014). Zaugg et al. (2015) suggest by implementing strategies to increase collaboration and trust can maximize the performance of global virtual teams. Similarly, there should also be a process in place to overcoming language barriers and time zone differences. Knowing these factors ahead of time can help me to successfully being a part of a team with members form wide range of cultural backgrounds.
