MGT 300Section 1
My personality type is fantastic as indicated Table 1. According to the basic result, I am a mentor. There are five things that I believe describe me accurately. First, extraversion is a preference to focus on the world outside the self. The personality type shows that I am an expressive and enthusiastic man. As a dancer, I knew how to become a popular dancer, as we must own a passion and have expressive force. We must attract the audience’s attention. Second, the basic result shows that I am driven by emotion. I absolutely agree with this description, as sometimes I don’t know what should I do when I am angry. The UCL (University College London) study suggests that irrational behavior arises as a consequence of emotional reactions evoked when faced with difficult decisions. As we all know, if people are driven by emotion, they will make mistakes, which leads a terrible result. Third, intuitive people focus on the future and the possibilities. Imaginative is my personality type. In the world of words, the imagination is one of the forces of nature. I am always believed an imaginative person can get more ideas to improve the world. Fourth, I have many friends. There is no doubt that friends are the best relationship. Relationships are important to me, and I always play with my friends during weekends. Fifth, I dislike conflicts of any kind and work hard to create harmony in the team. On the other hand, there are three things that I don’t believe sound like me. First of all, I prefer to stay alone rather than be a part of parties or groups. Maybe some people love the company of social gatherings where they mix well and are often the life and soul of the party. However, having a quiet area helps me focus on my work effectively and efficiently. Second, I am a doer rather than a thinker or an idealistic man. I am decisive, and even though not all my

Organizational Behavior Concept and Analysis

...Organizational Behavior Concepts and Analysis MGT/307 October 16, 2011 Organizational Behavior Concepts and Analysis Understanding culture is not an easy task. Culture cannot be distinctly defined by one person or even one organization. Culture is a combination of attitudes, behaviors, personalities, and values. Each of those traits may have a positive effect on an organization but could also negatively impact an organization. Learning more about organizational culture, behaviors, diverse atmospheres and communication skills can lead organization to long term growth and success. Organizational Culture Organizational culture is about relationships between organizational members and how they interact with one another as they perform their organizational roles (Pierce & Newstrom, 2008). Sharing and believing the same goals and assumptions within an organization defines organizational culture. An organization that has strong shared beliefs and can work toward a common goal will operate an efficient business. Organizational culture is also referred to as corporate culture. By definition, corporate culture is a system of shared actions and beliefs within an organization that guides the behavior of its members (Schermerhorn, Hunt, & Osborn, 2008). Organizational culture has observable aspects that include daily observances of work habits within the organization or through personal stories or experiences from members directly...

...Communication and Personality in Negotiation Kevin Mason MGT/445 Sept 1, 2012 Carlos Campos Communication and Personality in Negotiation At some point or another we as individuals will find ourselves in the middle of a negotiation. This Negotiation can be in the name of saving money, time, or in some cases people just do it to sharpen their skills. Regardless of the reason, the act of negotiation will be found to be necessary at some point in our life. It has been stated that the key to a successful negotiation is that of good communication and personality. A charming personality amongst many things is one of the keys to a successful negotiation. The following research will analyze a scenario in which one is trying to negotiate buying a new car. ...Assignments MGT200. Business Basics Mgt 200. Business Basics Mgt 200 Assignment 4 One of the driving goals of entrepreneurs is to start up a company, and then take it public through an IPO (initial public offering). Is the prospect of realizing great gains by going public that feeds the venture capital frenzy. During the dot-com glory days, many companies with no revenues – indeed, with prospect of revenues in the foreseeable future – went public and consequently made their investors very rich. The Washington Post article provided below offers a story of a company that has just “gone private” after being public for a number of years. The story makes it clear that there is nothing automatically good about going public. In fact, for serious businesses, there can be important drawbacks. Read the article carefully, and then bring together your business wisdom to answer the following questions: 1. What was the driving force for Deltek going public in the first place? Was there merit in this logic? 2. What advantages did Deltek find in going public once it became a public company? What disadvantages did it face? 3. What distinguishes Deltek from the dot-com companies that rushed to go public? Why did those companies go public? Who gained? 4. Why did Deltek decide to leave the public arena and become a closely held corporation once again? Do you think its management made the right decision? Your response should be no longer than three pages (single spaced typing). washingtonpost...

...ork2012 - 2013 Catalog A Message from the President “Sullivan University is truly a unique and student success focused institution.” I have shared that statement with numerous groups and it simply summarizes my basic philosophy of what Sullivan is all about. When I say that Sullivan is “student success focused,” I feel as President that I owe a definition of this statement to all who are considering Sullivan University. First, Sullivan is unique among institutions of higher education with its innovative, career-first curriculum. You can earn a career diploma or certificate in a year or less and then accept employment while still being able to complete your associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree by attending during the day, evenings, weekends, or online. Business and industry do not expand or hire new employees only in May or June each year. Yet most institutions of higher education operate on a nine-month school year with almost everyone graduating in May. We remained focused on your success and education, and continue to offer our students the opportunity to begin classes or to graduate four times a year with our flexible, year-round full-time schedule of classes. If you really want to attend a school where your needs (your real needs) come first, consider Sullivan University. I believe we can help you exceed your expectations. Since words cannot fully describe the atmosphere at Sullivan University, please accept my personal invitation to visit and experience...
