A girl named Michaela Deprince was born on 1995 in Sierra Leone. Her mom and dad passed away when she was just a little girl. Way before her parents passed away they said that she was born with a sharp cry and a personality as prickly as an african hedgehog. Intour in 1999 Michaela was adopted and moved to the U.S and enrolled in the Rock School of Dance Education in Philadelphia when nearly five. When she got adopted she was happy that she was out of a terrible place like she was in before she got of foster home. Whenever she used to stay after class to get help with classwork she witness that her teacher was killed. These men liked to kill pregnant woman if they are having a boy they’ll keep it ;but if its a girl they’ll kill the mother. …show more content…
She also traveled around to different the country to perform her talent to others. Michaela was also remained as the shy girl, painfully self-conscious of her vitiligo. Also in 2012 on July 19, 2012 professional debut performance in the role of Gulnare in the South African premiere of Le Corsaire. Being a black ballerina dancer is hard even in the US.

Now 17 , Deprince now’s completed a tour with Dance Theatre of Harlem, whose of mixed-race or african-american. Sometimes she spends half of her time watching her steps. Her sister Mia that is 18 years old wants to be a musician- she can already play five instruments. Michaela remembers when she was struggling to understand what was happening . She was intoxicated by the american women with her dazzling blonde hair ,but there was something else on her mind too.
One year she took place in the youth american grand prix , the biggest ballet competition in the world , where she walked with yet another scholarship too.
Sometime between the ages of fifteen and eighteen, she grew up, both as human being and as a dancer. It all didn’t happen all at once. She found it to difficult to express the artistry emotion that she needed for her roles. It frustrated the teachers her and some of the teachers
