For microfiction many of the stories in the first section we were instructed to read seemed to me like a section taken out of a book. It felt like the characters in these stories developed, which was lacking from the stories in Hint fiction, but it was only the bare minimum. It feels as though it is a tease in the sense that the story lacks depth. This may be due to a lack of emotional attachment to any of theses stories; unlike the numerous emotional triggering stories written in the first book we read in this class. I feel like it is not easier to have more words because there are many sentences in each of the stories that I feel to be empty and unnecessary to the overall take away.
