...Analyzing Messages Problems and disagreements do not only happen in the workplace. Problems can occur in families, friendships, schools, and your extracurricular afterschool programs. When an issue has come to the attention of any group, there are many ways of communicating; face-to-face interaction, telephone call, written letters by mail, text messaging, and email. Email has become the primary source for communication for most businesses and many groups world-wide (Roebuck, p.2). The true term, electronic mail, is a “system for transmitting messages electronically.” (Merriam-Webster, 2012) One e-mail can reach many recipients, and many organizations have to adapt to this new way of communicating. The need to understand a new “netiquette, proper manners on the net” (Roebuck, p.5), is essential for every professional organization. In the e-mails I choose to analyze, I wanted the e-mails to vary in manners. In my organization, Whitney Jr. Wildcats, there are hundreds of e-mails sent weekly between coaches, parents, coordinators, and board members. The first e-mail I chose, was sent to me, although it was not directed to me, shows great netiquette. The main purpose of the e-mail was to let a nearby middle school principal understand that our organization will not sit quietly about his new rule. The new rule he developed was a ban on students wearing clothing that support the Whitney Jr. Wildcat organization. There about 30 students who participate in the WJW organization...

...INTRODUSTION: This article is about the competitive issue of automobile companies Toyota and Ford. It is particularly focused on the Ford, which is facing hard competition with Toyota and other reputed automobile companies. This article represents the concept of Competitive Analysis, how company has to face competition with other companies when it expands its business at international level. Few common reasons are responsible for fewer sales of the ford cars. Particularly I would like to focus on the quality of the car and its image in the customer’s mind, which are common affecting factors to the lower sales of the Ford cars. Toyota and Ford tied for leading in the most segments on strategic vision’s Total Quality Index(TQI), leading with three vehicles each. Toyota lead with its Yaris, 4runnerand sequoia while Ford lead with tha Edge, Mutang convertible and F-259/350, the 2008 results are based on ratings by new vehicle owners in 19 product segments. Toyota Motor Sales had two additional leaders with the Scion XB and the Lexus RX350(which tied with land Rover’s LR2), while Ford Motor Co. added two additional wins with the mercury sable and volvo C30. Toyota has announced the launch of the Aurion Touring Special Edition, adding more ammunition against the Holden Commodore and Ford’s aging Falcon. ...

Then I would like to thank my course instructor Sir. MIRZA AKHTAR AHSAN, who gave me the opportunity to apply what I have learned in the course in a practical manner. He was the one who helped me in understanding the course very well. Without his guidance the report would have not been possible. I would also like to thanks Mr. Hassan Ameen, the owner of Cherry International in co-coordinating with us. Introduction [pic] Cherry International was established in 1978 in Karachi to produce yarn, all for export to Japan, Europe and United States of America. Yarn was exported to the Far East. In 1981, Cherry International began to produce poly cottons and poly viscose for the local market. From 1983-1991, it catered to the domestic market only, because of heavy import duties on fiber. In 1994, synthetic and blended fabrics were exported. Cherry International believes that business relationships are built on the basis of trust and partnership. This is the maxim for their creative dialogues with clients, business friends and employees. Satisfied clients are our top priority. ...Follow Comments TECH 2/09/2014 @ 9:00AM 23,771 views Forbes.com Sony Spins Off TV Business In Bid To Reconquer Market BY mark Sparrow Comment Now Follow Comments If you’re of a certain age you’ll probably remember growing up with a Sony Trinitron TV in your living room. Back in the late 1970s when I grew up in England, when Europe still produced most of its own televisions, Sony dominated the TV market with its superbly sharp Trinitron screens boasting rich blacks and saturated colours. Indeed, at one time there really was no alternative. Gradually the likes of Philips ,Hitachi , Grundig and countless other small European producers fell by the wayside, even with the help of high import tariffs to protect the European TV business. To get around this protection, Sony set up an EU television factory in the UK and soon cornered the market. For a decade or more the huge lumbering CRT screens with their shiny Sony name badges stared back at viewers. If you didn’t have a Sony it was probably because you couldn’t afford one; and that’s the way the market looked until the advent of flat-screen technology. The problem for Sony was that it was caught unawares by the sudden popularity of flat screens, perhaps because it was too busy enjoying its dominance in the conventional CRT market. Sony intends to spin off it TV business by the summer and concentrate on high quality 4K screens. Without the facility to produce its own LCD panels Sony found itself forced to buy in components...

...any of the other hard science-fiction worlds. Not a pleasant picture --- and in fact, in those "cyberpunk"-ish stories, the world is not a pleasant place to be in, in general. But, running through other works is a thread of a different hue. Listen closely, and a different voice is heard --- the voice of dissent, the voice protesting the loss of green spaces and clean waters and open air. Where has this voice come from? I'm not quite qualified to say for sure, but I can guess. Some of it is obvious: people who are tired of seeing tranquil forests razed, or seeing their favorite beach turned into a concrete nightmare (such as in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan); people who read the news and hear of oil spills and extinctions and pollution problems. But another aspect is surely the traditional sense of Taoism that runs deep in Japanese culture. Taoism was the primary influence for ancient Asian paintings depicting humans and their habitations as mere tiny decorations on sweeping mountain vistas. Shintoism, along with traditional Chinese beliefs, helped add the concept of spirits and deities residing in trees and rocks and even household items. The sum of these philosophis suggests that humans should work within nature --- and this belief can be seen...

...Religions influence on American Democracy and it's effect on Globalization Abstract A person's religious beliefs greatly influence his or her ethical behaviors. According to reports, religion is one of the strongest motivators for individuals to exhibit ethical behaviors in all areas of their lives. Modern thought tends to see religion as one sphere of society, alongside politics, economics, science, family, morality and so on. There is much written about business and organizational ethics but there is little written about the behaviors that people display to demonstrate they are ethical humans. It is almost as if an organization is perceived as an entity capable of doing behaviors without the human element. Decisions within the corporate world are shaped not merely by ethical ideals but also by economic, social, political and legal constraints. Christian ethics, for most people, becomes the art of discerning the morally "more or less," the less than perfect "better or worse," in the myriad of trade-offs among competing values and interests. ...CHAPTER ONE 1. INTRODUCTION 1.0 DEFINITION OF TRADITIONAL MEDICINE, HERBAL PREPARATION AND FINISHED HERBAL PRODUCTS The World Health Organization (WHO) defines traditional medicine as the sum total of knowledge, skills and practices based on the theories, beliefs and experiences indigenous to different cultures. Traditional medicine is used in the maintenance of health the prevention, diagnosis, improvement or treatment of physical and mental illness, whether explicable or not and is passed on from generation to generation. Herbal Preparations contain plant parts or plant material in the crude or processed state as active ingredients and may contain excipients. (WHO, 1996a; Busse, 1999). Combinations with chemically defined active substances or isolated constituents are not considered herbal preparations (Busse, 2000; GNDP, 2004). According to the European Medicine Evaluation Agency (EMEA), herbal preparations are medicinal products containing exclusively herbal drugs or herbal drug preparations as active substances (WHO, 1996b; Busse, 2000). Several chemical constituents with different pharmacological targets are involved in the therapeutic action of herbal preparations. This may be an advantage compared to single isolated compounds, especially when the underlying disease has a multifactorial etiology which is the case in many chronic illnesses. Herbal preparations may include comminuted or powdered plant material, extracts, tinctures, fatty or essential oils of...
