When they are close together they can feel each other's presence. An example is at the beginning of the book, Ellie escaped Mal Gorman and she was rushing to see Mika and her family. Mal Gorman found out and told his men to find her and bring her back. She was so close to them, then she got shot down by one of his men. When she crashed Mika had woken up and from his bed because he felt a slight pain. When Mika and Ellie can sense or feel there pain it is a big deal. Like there was this one section when Ellie crashed into the water when she was coming to see Ellie but Mika was sitting and then all of a sudden he couldn’t breathe and he had to go to the hospital. When Mika was going to the third round of the competition he had to travel to Cape Wrath and Ellie was there. When he got into Cape Wrath Ellie realized he was near and she got a spark of
