Gentlemen of the Jury,
As you have heard throughout the trial, Minnie Wright is an innocent woman. The definition of murder is the killing of another human being under conditions specifically covered in law. Law The prosecutor tried to throw absurd statements in your minds. Mr. Wright was found dead suffocated by a rope. Remember there was no true hardship known about the Wrights’ marriage. Throughout the trial, you were seeking truth. Due to the truth, Minnie’s charges should be dropped due to the facts that there is no hard evidence, there shouldn’t be discrimination on her sex, and there is no justified reasoning for Minnie “killing” her adored husband.
To beginning with, there wasn’t any evidence entered into the court favoring homicide. Evidence needs to “cover the burden of proof, admissibility, relevance, right and sufficiency of what should be admitted into the record of a legal proceeding. As you have heard, Mr. Wright was found in a hangman’s noose, and we all know it only takes one to commit suicide. Wright’s passing. Minnie has been a law abiding citizen for years. Do you think there was any reasoning for Minnie Wright to kill her beloved husband? No. The Wrights were a happily married couple. This couple has growing old together for quite some time. If either of them were to be unhappy, wouldn’t it just be easier to get a divorce as opposed to committing a murder? Motive for Mr. Wright’s “murder” was not found in Minnie’s testimony and by the evidence that was collected. Earlier I talked about finding the truth, the truth is Minnie was a victim herself.
