...the Web? Index.html FTP7 can use SSL to encrypt its authentication traffic before transmission. IIS7 uses a generic request pipeline that is modular in nature. The component that manages the request pipeline, the server’s application pools, and the worker processes is called WPAS-Windows Process Activation Service. Which feature of IIS7 enables you to publish content found on different drives or different computers on a network, without copying or moving the content? When IIS7 receives an HTTP request containing a URL with no filename, and none of the default document filenames exist in the specified folder, the Web server has two choices: it can generate an error message, or it can display a directory listing. When IIS7 generates a 404 error, it sends a detailed error page, in response to local requests, and a custom...

...ARMY AVIATION OPERATIONS IN LOW INTENSITY CONFLICT Introduction “Foot slogging” by infantrymen has been most important and fundamental to address an insurgency; however, there are limitations to their mobility. To increase their versatility, the Portuguese introduced two contrasting means, the helicopter and the horse. While there were other, more conventional solutions to the mobility problem, such as trucks, jeeps, and light armored cars, these vehicles required at least crude roads, had other terrain limitations, and were vulnerable to land mines. The advent of the helicopter and its application in counter-insurgency began with the British in Malaya on 1 April 1950, with the formation of the Far East Casualty Air Evacuation Flight at Seletar with strength of three Westland S-51 Dragonfly helicopters. During the Malayan Emergency the British used their helicopters primarily for casualty evacuation and later for airlifting troops. Question that looms ahead for the future, no matter what the outcome in Jammu and Kashmir, and North Eastern States, is how the army aviation succeeds against fierce insurgency in strategy and capabilities. The Taliban’s resurgence, tenacious resistance against NATO forces in Afghanistan, Al Qaeda’s ability to elude United States forces, and the trouble Israel has had in trying to subdue violence in tiny Southern Lebanon (Hezbollah) and tinier Gaza (Hamas) deepen concern that even world’s finest militaries have problems against any kind...

...Nikki Vanessa V. Novales July 20, 2012 # 2012-42443 PI 10 E2-6R Rizal: Hidden Beneath The Surface A Reaction Paper On “Bayaning 3rd World” “Who is Rizal?” If you ask this question to any Filipino, they will most likely say, “He is our national hero” Or “He’s the person stamped on our 1-peso coin”. But is that all he really is? The movie “Bayaning 3rd World” is about two film makers trying to make a movie about Rizal. They found out, however, that this would not be an easy task, for their subject is a very complicated man. Rather than focusing on a single issue about Rizal, they decided to make a detective story about Rizal being the country’s national hero. They tackled several issues but focused mainly on Rizal’s retraction and Josephine Bracken. The movie was meant to be educational, but unlike most documentaries, “Bayaning 3rd World” is definitely not boring. The documentary was presented in a comical way, so that viewers of all ages would be able to understand it and grasp its meaning. I was confused at first because I didn’t know what the “Retraction Controversy” was and the two film makers started having these long conversations about it without explaining it to the viewers. But when I found out what it was all about, following the flow of the story became easy. Another controversy that arose was about Josephine Bracken, on whether she and Rizal were married or not. It was implied that if they were indeed married, then Rizal retracted...

...4. A. Entity level controls cover a wide variety of processes depending on how precise the controls need to be. Some examples of entity-level controls include: * Controls related to the control environment * Risk assessment, control activities, information and communication, monitoring * Controls over management override * The company's risk assessment process * Centralized processing and controls * Controls to monitor results of operations * Controls to monitor other controls * includes activities of the internal audit function, the audit committee, and self-assessment programs * Controls over the period-end financial reporting process * Policies that address significant business control and risk management practices B. The period-end financial reporting process is particularly important because of its end-user intent. The process involves: * Methods used to enter transaction totals into the general ledger * Methods related to the selection and application of accounting policies * Methods used to initiate, authorize, record, and process journal entries in the general ledger * Methods used to record recurring and nonrecurring adjustments to the annual and quarterly financial statements * Methods for preparing annual and quarterly financial statements and related disclosures. 3 Region Net Income US Northeast | $11,541 | US Southeast | $57,704 | US Central | $39,791 | US Southwest | $60,853...

...RAPIDS BUSINESS JOURNAL • APRIL 11,2005 SOX 404 Compliance: Costs Vs. Benefits By Anne Bond Emrich GRAND RAPIDS — For many public companies, compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act has been a timeconsuming and expensive endeavor. Section 404 mandates that public companies evaluate and annually report on the effectiveness of their internal controls over financial reporting and that an independent auditor substantiate the effectiveness. It's intended to strengthen corporate controls to prevent fraud and fraud's negative financial impact on a company. Large companies v^'ith fiscal years ending after Dec. 15, 2004, had to issue tlieir first Section 404 report along with their Form lOK in March. Small public companies with fiscal yearends coming after July 15, 2005, must begin issuing a report on the effectiveness of internal controls in every annual report to come. So if a company's fiscal year ends, say, in June, it has another year before it has to file Section 404 reports. Mary Fllen Rodgers. Deloittes office managing partner in Grand Rapids, thinks Section 404 has ciearly been the most difficult of SOX compliance's to implement. "Section 404 is what mandates companies to do reporting to their shareholders on their internal controls, .so it has taken not only a significant amount of dollar resources but a huge amount of time on behalf of companies to be able to do the testing that is mandated in order to issue the 404," she said. Most companies, she said, have probably...

...Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act: Curse or Blessing for Financial Reporting? Yuliya M. Ford University of Maryland University College Introduction In response to public concerns regarding the accuracy and quality of reported financial information by publicly traded companies, in mid-summer of 2002 Congress passed Public Law 107-204, 116 Stat.745 which is commonly referred to as the Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX or the Act). The law was passed in large part due to the public outcry of the numerous unethical accounting scandals and fraudulent reports from such notable companies as - Enron, WorldCom, and Global Crossing (Singer and You, 2011). The goal of SOX was to mandate corporate governance reforms in order to help to instill investor’s confidence in capital markets. In an effort to establish best practices and standards SOX created the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). The PCAOB is chartered with the establishment of independent standards and overseeing the compliance of publicly traded companies with these standards (Agami, 2006). Another very important aspect that the PCAOB is charged with is reviewing the samples of audits conducted by accounting firms and ensuring that both the spirit and letter of the SOX act was established under (Parles, O’Sullivan, & Shannon, 2007). The Sarbanes-Oxley Act is divided into eleven sections referred to as titles. In terms of compliance, many have posited, including Addison-Hewitt Associates (2003), that the most...
