There will always be differences between people whether it is about religion or ethnicity. The population of earth keeps on increasing and the land can’t expand any more to comfort us. In order for us to survive we must understand each other but we are failing. In this chapter we discussed about two groups of people from that had different cultural and racial differences, but had to get along to survive. These two groups the Miskitos and Costeño’s are located between eastern and western Nicaragua. In this case we can see that racism and classism pursues the separation of this two ethnic groups.

But when one believes that he or she is inferior to others that’s a sign of a weak mind. It is equality that we all strive for. Still to this day we see this problems happening in the year 2016. I felt discriminated when I lived there and I felt people thought less of me because I was not of light skin and didn’t come from a well off class. But is it our own fault, we victimize ourselves. I am not putting all the fault on them either because their government should have helped them out instead of looking for their best interests and treating the Costeño’s as second class
