In “The Possibility of Evil”, old Miss strangeworth who is the last Strangeworth lives in a small town for more than seventy years. She thinks that she has duty to guard the town and keep it away from “evil” things. She hangs out everyday and gathers stories or news of the town. Then she will go back to her house which has beautiful red roses outside. In the afternoon, she writes anonymous letters to the interested parties. Miss strangeworth likes to judge people in the letter. In the evening, she goes to the post office to send her letters secretly. However, one day she is exposed and her roses are cut by angry people.
