With the given information, (The correlation coefficient is r=.792), and by looking at the scatter plot, you can see that it is mostly straight with no outliers and that it is positive, (the scatterplot runs from the lower left to the upper right).
The method of least squares is a formula, (yﰀ = b0 + b1x), that is used to determine how well a line fits a certain set of data.
To start, you would need to insert the data onto lists L1 and L2. List all values for age in L1 and all values for Price advertised in L2. To do this press STAT, EDIT, ENTER, and enter the data. L1 should be all x-values and L2 should be all y-values. Make sure your diagnostic is on by clicking 2nd catalog and scrolling down to DiagnosticOn, click ENTER twice. Next you would press STAT, move over one to CALC, and down eight to find LinReg(a+bx). Press 2nd, 1, comma, 2nd, 2 and then ENTER. This will tell the calculator to use L1 and L2 as your x and y. Now you should have your answers r=.944 and r^2=.891
