In the late 90s of last century in Moldova, since then part of the former Soviet Union, grew up a democratic and national liberation movement, which ends on 27 August 1991 with the independence of Republic of Moldova. After the failed coup attempt in Moscow, Republic of Moldova became, on 27 August 1991, the seventh Soviet republic which is separated from the Soviet Union. Moldova's independence has been recognized at international level by becoming a member of several prestigious international organizations, primarily the United Nations (1992). Declaration of Independence represents aspirations for freedom, independence, and national unity. Thus, through the laws and decisions of the Moldovan Parliament were adopted establishment of Romanian as the official language and the reintroduction of the Latin alphabet - 31 August 1989, the state flag - 27April 1990, the coat of arms - on 3 November 1990 and the change of the official name of the state - on 23May 1990. After independence, Republic of Moldova followed other documents aimed at strengthening of the independence of the country. Thus, on 3September 1991 was created National Army of the Republic of Moldova, and in 1994 adopted the Constitution, under which human rights, freedoms, free development of human personality, justice and political pluralism represent supreme values and are guaranteed by the state. Moldova's political system during the 24 years of independence has been amended twice: mixed system (1994-2000) in which the president was directly elected, and since 2000 till now prevailing parliamentary republic system. On 2 March 1992 war broke out in Transnistria, the eastern part of Republic of Moldova, in which Moldova had to fight to maintain sovereignty over the territory of Transnistria. Separatist forces were supported from Russia. On 21 July 1992 the conflict was froze by an agreement signed between Moldova and the Russian Federation. However, despite of agreement signed the Russian military forces are still there having a peace keeping mission. Taking about the presidents first president of Republic of Moldova Mircea Snegur 3 September 1990 – 15 January 1997, second Petru Lucinschi 15 January 1997 – 7 April 2001. During the mandates of both presidents conduct a policy based on democratic values. Vladimir Voronin was the third president 7 April 2001 – 11 September 2009, being the leader of Communist Party. In 2009 was formed a political alliance for European Integration. Alliance attempted to elect the president; the only candidate for president was Marian Lupu, the president of Democratic Party of Moldova. Communist Party did not submit a candidate. There were two attempts to elect a president and both boycotted by the Communist Party and the impossibility failure resulting in accumulation of 3/5 of votes for candidate. It followed three interim periods for the position of head of state Mihai Ghimpu (2009-2010), Vlad Filat (2010), Marian Lupu (2010-2012). The Alliance in March 2012 reaches a common denominator for the President, an apolitical person, the magistrate Nicolae Timofti.

A Rose for Emily

...Diana BANEGAS ME 1 Commentaire littéraire This is the end of this short story, set in the (imaginary) town of Jefferson, Mississippi. Make clear how the Gothic theme of time and decay is brought in and developed. The text is an extract from a William Faulkner's short story: A Rose for Emily. Divided in five sections, this extract is the end of the text, compounded of the section III, IV and V. Published in 1930, the story takes place in the fictional city of Jefferson, Mississippi and it is introduced by a mysterious, unnamed narrator who is sometimes grouped with the townspeople and sometimes completely exterior. A Rose for Emily is usually read as a gothic fiction because of the forbidding and eery atmosphere, the heroine's tragic destiny and the focus on morbid ambience. We are in the context of the Reconstruction, after the Civil War. Townsmen are trying to build a new society, modernizing transport and communication. In parallel, this is a story of a mysterious women, Emily Grierson struggling against the time, the society, the tragedy of life and hiding a terrible secret. In this analysis, we will ask about the way to treat the gothic fiction chosen by William Faulkner trough the themes of time and decay. First of all, we will study the obvious confrontation between past and present and the unconventional approach of Faulkner to manipulate time. Secondly, we will analyze the weight and the power of death and how the theme is presented and interpreted. In a third...

Does We Repeat the History

...We don’t learn from History, we repeat it? By dhara on November 17, 2010 in Articles I think its agreeable that if we don’t learn from history we would repeat it again. For example: If a person like Hitler borns back then now we will not ignore his acts may be we will take persistent actions to get rid off from him and his actions. History is proof that has examples of people repeating the mistakes of the past. Many of those mistakes are being repeated in the world today. This “law” is true whether it be on an international level, or a personal one. This is one of the things which is annoyable when said “We must let the kids learn from their own mistakes”. Bull. If you love your children, you will hope to teach them to avoid that which is harmful to them by trying to let them learn from YOUR mistakes. Learning by one’s own mistake can often be too late, and you can be too dead to learn anything from it. Insanity is repeating the same mistakes of the past and expecting a different outcome. But—— What if Orville and Wilbur Wright had paid attention to the history of attempts at flight? Would you be using the Internet if Gordon Moore had spent more time building a computer “the historically correct way” rather than designing the ridiculously tiny processor he developed? How many of you would prefer the good old days of medicine to what we have now? With all of the History majors the colleges crank out you would think that there wouldn’t be any more war, crime, or poverty...

Essential of Health Information

...Essentials of Health Information Management Kay Lavender HCR/210 October 27, 2011 Essentials of Health Information Management Source- oriented medical records are kept together by subject matters, such as data from all laboratory results. Progress notes are all kept together and are written in paragraph format; these entries are filed under a specific sectionalized area in the patient chart and are usually in chronological order. Many facilities use the chronological order because this is an easy way to locate the required documents. The major advantage is that information is organized together, which makes it easier to determine the assessment, treatment, and observations a particular department provided a patient. The major disadvantage is there is no possible way to quickly determine all of the patient problems or treatment that has been provided to the patient. Problem- oriented medical records are kept together by a problem number; with this a number is placed to each problem. This is the most traditional way that most physicians document his or her records. Progress notes are kept in a “SOAP format, which is S= subjective, O=objective, A= assessment, and P= plan of action.” (SOAP Notes, 2010) The problem oriented-medical records have four parts, which include a database, problem list, initial plan, and progress notes. The major advantage is the record format is the ease or progression through all the data. The data is organized into stratified sections, which is...

Rose for Emily

...to weaken it, but this approach allows us to see Faulkner's genius at work — particularly his own, unique way of telling a story. Unlike other writers of his era, such as John Steinbeck and Ernest Hemingway, who usually narrate their stories in a strictly linear progression, Faulkner violates all chronological sequences. Only a few specific dates are mentioned in the story, but a close reading makes it possible to assign certain sequential events. We know, for example, that Colonel Sartoris remits Miss Emily's taxes in 1894, and that he has been dead for at least ten years when she confronts the new aldermen. Likewise, we know that she dies at the age of 74. Using these facts, we can build a framework on which to hang the following chronology: Section IV: Miss Emily is born. Section II: She and her father ride around the town in an old, elegant carriage. Section II: Her father dies, and for three days she refuses to acknowledge his death. Section III: Homer Barron arrives in town and begins to court Miss Emily. Section IV: She buys a man's silver toilet set — a mirror, brush, and comb — and men's clothing. Section III: The town relegates her to disgrace and sends for her cousins. Section IV: The cousins arrive, and Homer leaves town. Section IV: Three days after the cousins leave, Homer returns. Section III: Miss Emily buys poison at the local drug store. Section IV: Homer disappears. Section II: A horrible stench envelops Miss Emily's house...

Understanding Plot and Story

...MEDA14099G - HANDOUT UNDERSTANDING PLOT AND STORY IN CINEMA There is a lot of information available on plot and story, but most of it will only confuse the basic understanding of these terms we are trying to achieve. A lot of this information is useful as we start to think about film in greater depth, but in this course I simply want you to begin by learning these two definitions. PLOT: The “plot” of a film is what you see in the order that you see it. It is the sequence of events (occurrences, character actions, decisions, etc.) as it unfolds onscreen. The plot is the way a film tells its story, and the final shape a plot will take is completely up to the filmmaker, who decides what event will follow what event during editing. Plot does not need to be chronological, meaning it does not need to unfold in the same manner as the story it tells. STORY: The “story” is the full story told by a film in its precise chronological order. This means, importantly, that the story can include events we do not see on the screen, or that we only here characters make mention of. However, no matter what events the story does include, it necessarily occurs in proper chronological sequence, just like in the real worlds, where we have to experience events as they unfold, and where we cannot jump around in time focusing on that which we want to. Both “plot” and “story” are part of the narrative of a film. Remember, our basic definition of narrative is a sequence of events occurring...

Nurse Act Esssay

...As stated, documentation should occur as soon as possible after an event has occurred. When it is not possible to document at the time of or immediately following an event, or if extensive time has elapsed a late entry is required. Late entries should be defined by agency policy. Late entries or corrections incorporating omitted information in a health record should be made, on a voluntary basis, only when a nurse can accurately recall the event or care provided. Late entries must be clearly identified (e.g., “Addendum to Care”), and should be individually dated. They should reference the actual time recorded as well as the time when the care/event occurred and must be signed by the nurse involved. A delayed entry may occur when two nurses enter data on the same patient. Delayed entries must be entered on a chart on the same shift that the care was provided and/or the event occurred, even if the information is not entered in chronological order. Delayed entries should be made according to agency policy. In the event of a lost entry, the RN may be asked to re-construct the entry. Falsifying records is considered professional misconduct according to the definition under Section 2(as)(ix) of the Registered Nurses Act (2006) so the nurse must clearly indicate the information recorded as a replacement for a lost entry. Lost entries should be made according to agency policy. If the care/event cannot be recalled, the new entry should state that the information for the specific...

Philosophies of Time

...Different philosophies of recording time, when considered together, enhance the understanding of a period of history. There is our traditional Gregorian timeline, the prophet timeline, and the pagan timeline. They all tell us about events in a whole different format, so to speak. The Gregorian timeline that we are all familiar with, tell us everything that happened in any given event, in order. Everything is detailed in the way that all events are easily laid out in a line. We use this as we believe the life of the world is laid out with a beginning and end. We believe everything started at one point, it goes through history, and then abruptly ends at the end of the line. This is the common thought of Christians and such throughout history. However, the prophet timeline is a little different. It is somewhat similar to the Gregorian timeline, but not quite. The one key difference between the two is when something big and bad happens like the fall of a kingdom or black age of a people, the prophet timeline shows that. The timeline goes backwards a little bit when something like that happens, and then starts forward again. Now, the Pagan timeline is different than both of these. This timeline goes in a circle. The timeline shows more important events that repeat themselves. The pagan timeline shows everything repeating like reincarnation. Where time spins like the earth, constantly, without beginning or end. It’s a very interesting way of looking at things. All...
