Monique Hidalgo, an incarcerated mother who got taken the right away to breastfeed while in prison, fought for her fundamental rights for the personal care she wanted for her child. This thirty-three-year-old woman believed that all women should be handed the right to breastfeed their child if they wish to, even if they were behind bars. She was taken the right away because those are the prison rules, but she did not accept the fact that she could not provide the sufficient needs for her baby.
