Abstract When working for a big corporation it is the responsibility of everyone involved to makes a product that is safe for all consumers. If I was in a position where I knew a product was unsafe or defective, I know that it is my responsibility to bring it to the attention of everyone higher up in the company. I know that it will be difficult to tell the managers and the CEO of the company that they have created a product that is unsafe or defective, and the only way to break bad news is just to do it. I am a mother so I know how it is to want products that are safe for my kids, so that it was I am going to focus on, infant seats if not used properly can be very unsafe, but what’s worst is having an infant seat that is defective and is being recalled by the company. The way I found out that the product was recalled was a flyer that was posted on a board in the store by the bathrooms, I don’t think that was a very effective way to let all the customers know that a product was recalled.

I know that a new infant seat is defective and that it is unsafe to put in stores. I am going to request an emergency meeting with the CEO, the directors and managers of the company I work for, and tell them I think there is a problem with one of our products, and I need to bring it to their attention right away. When we sit down for our meeting I will have the defective product with me, so I can show them the problem instead of just telling them about it. The infant she has the buckle to strap the baby in, but the fastening bar on the back that keeps the strap tight is missing, meaning even though the baby is fastened into the baby seat, if the car stops suddenly the baby will possibly sit straight up because the straps are not fastened in the back so there is nothing to keep them tight. I would than show them a great clamp to apply to the back of the seat that will allow the straps to be adjusted, so they are not too tight, and not to loose. The safety of the customers is the company’s number one priority, and I make it my soul responsibility to help ensure the company sells a quality product. I feel like I need to get the word out that one of our infant seats is defective and being recalled immediately, I would like to talk to the CEO and directors of the company to discuss the most effective way to let people know that we have a defective product and that it is being recalled so we may fix the problem. I feel the most effective ways to get the word out is to make a product recall commercial for the TV and radio stations, also place an ad in all local newspapers, put up a bulletin on the company’s website, and on any social network page the company has, and also have flyers posted throughout the stores the product is sold in, to ensure people are aware of the product recall. I will volunteer myself to overlook the project to make sure the defective product is properly fixed, and try to find out why the product was defective in the first place. If I can find the source of the problem, I can figure out how to make sure it doesn’t happen in the future. Having one defective product can cause the company a lot of money, because the company will have pay to have all the defective product to be shipped back to the company, the company has to pay to advertise the product recall, they have to remake all the defective products and make sure the new products are made properly, and they have to pay to put all the new safer products back into stores. It takes a whole team including the CEO, directors, managers, and everyone else working for the company, to ensure we make quality products that are safe for people of all ages. I know that some people only work to receive a paycheck and don’t really care how things turn out, but there are people out there that love what they do, and they will do everything it takes to make sure everyone is happy and satisfied with the final product. I happen to be one of those people who wants to make sure everyone is happy and satisfied with the final product.

I don’t have any references, I wrote this paper on my strong beliefs. I discussed what I would do if I was in a situation like this and because of that I did not need to look any information up. I strongly believe that it is a team effort, but if one person does not take the first step, no action will be taken until someone complains about a product.
