I dislike both of these theories pretty much on the same level just because these two theories make it look like we are simplistic as the two theories are very complex and not very motivational from my stand point. The psychoanalytic theory of motivation is very limiting to ones full potential. Can it be true, that we as humans are only mentally stimulated by two things? Sex and anger? I would like to think that I have more to offer myself and that I can contribute to others. And if I am only being motivated by these two means, I am just saying for myself, that I would not reach a desired level of potential because I am not a highly motivated person while I am upset nor am I a sexually aroused person, so motivation would suffer and so would my performance if I was to rely on either of these factors.
