Unpredictable spring break
Spring break lies ahead of us this is the season people are looking for an escape period allowing yourself to detach from the craziness. Gave yourself time to recharge and rejuvenate from the everyday stress. My family is no different we are all looked forward to the spring break. We got two weeks this year instead of the normal one week. My family started to write down ideas on pieces of paper, then put them in a paper sack. Next, we all took a turn and pulled one out of the sack the trip ideas that were pulled trip to the Wallowa Mountains, trip to the Oregon coast, and then Yakima, Wa was pulled from the bag. Once I saw what my mum and my son pulled, my paper got tossed over my shoulder. The challenge now were to pick from the two options trip to the Wallowa Mountains or the trip to the Oregon coast. We ponder on what the Oregon coast and the Wallowa Mountains offered in actives, accommodations, and weather in late March.
We were down to trip to the Wallowa Mountains and the Oregon coast. As we looked at these two, we noticed these were just a few of the more common spring break trips. These two place Oregon coast and the Wallowa Mountains are still far from being a like each other. Then my family was curious about other things such as accommodations and the weather in late March. The weather in Oregon can be unpredictable in late March at the Oregon coast also at the Wallowa Mountains. The weather can be sunny one moment to down pour rain. The Oregon coast often in late March can be foggy and stormy with high winds. Then the Wallowa Mountains in late March can be very cold to a sunny warm day, even at times get traces of snow. During some storms on the Oregon coast hotels may lose power. Although losing power would not matter camping. When the Wallowa Mountains have high wind you have to watch your tent.
The great decision continued on to the accommodations of the Oregon Coast and the Wallowa Mountains. These two will be an array of differences from each other. Came clear there were only one thing they had in common both had shelter options. The Oregon coast trip offers a comforting warm inviting hotel room sheltered from the weather. While the trip to the Wallowa Mountain offered an adventurous chilly confined tent in the elements. Then the Oregon coast all the accommodations we looked at had electricity, showers in the room, comfortable beds. While the Wallowa Mountains offered clean showers and fire pits; there were no luxuries there we would been in the great battle with the air mattress, and the mercy of batteries and propane for the trip. My son pointed one thing out to us the Oregon coast trip be a lot less work since we be staying in the hotel, than the Wallowa Mountain we would be figuring out the puzzle called the tent. (needs a transition to the actives.)
There things you can do at the beach that you cannot do in the mountains also vice versa. There are a variety of things that they were a like each other in that they both have endless chances for family time, adventures and place to be explored. The beach and the mountain both offered many chances for my family to explore the great outdoors and hiking in nature. They even both offered historical sites which my family enjoys. We even found out Wallowa Mountain campground offer movie night in the woods, also at the beach you could go to see the movies as well. Even though the Oregon coast were the better option for the trip with the better Accommodations and a weather. My family decided to be adventurous we went to both. We first went to the Wallowa Mountain for camping. The camping trip lasted three days on the camping trip due to the air mattress popped and the weather was really cold. My family ended up spending one week on the Oregon coast. Where we enjoyed Oregon coast weather of morning fog, mild wind, and one day of rain. Over all between the choices we had a wonderful spring break.
Cut out ideas
Mountains for a camping trip both places offer accommodations of campgrounds, yurt, or cabins/cottages. My family decided though a trip to the mountains is not a true trip unless you are roughing it so it was going to be a camping trip. Than we looked at the Oregon coast noticed that were we liked to go options were limited to cottages or hotels. This was a contrast to each other.
