The action of the clones

The Island is a remarkable and must-see action and science fiction. The film features the life of the clones and the sponsors which is directed by Michael Bay, the director of Transformers, Pearl Harbor and I Am Number Four. A young man Lincoln Six Echo (Ewan McGregor) and a young woman Jordan Two Delta (Scarlett Johansson) live in an underground organization which is full of strict regulations and created by a selfish scientist Dr. Merrick (Sean Bean). They think that one day they will go to the paradise by being the winner of the lottery, which called ‘The Island’. However, Lincoln starts having different dreams which look like his past memories. Dr. Merrick discover the situation of Lincoln and tries to remove his memories in order to keep the huge secret. On the other hands, Dr. Merrick uses a special tunnel to another station secretly. Because of a moth, Lincoln finds that secret tunnel. In this station, Lincoln find that the so call 'winner' of the 'lottery' is only an excuse for the company. In the reality, the 'winner' is used for providing organ and giving birth to their sponsor. Lincoln’s world turns topsy-turvy when he discovers the truth that all of them are just a product of an insurance plan. Afterwards, the screenplay talks about the escape of Lincoln and Jordan. Lincoln and Jordan seek help from James McCord (Steve Buscemi). While they are find their sponsor in Los Angeles, Dr. Merrick hires mercenary, Albert Laurent (Djimon Hounsou) to hunt them down. A young model Sarah Jordan (Scarlett Johansson) is the sponsor of Jordan and Tom Lincoln (Ewan McGregor) is the sponsor of Lincoln, they start to explain their situation to Lincoln and Jordan. While they are talking, Tom secretly having a contact with Dr. Merrick. Thus, the mercenaries find their location and trying to kill him. However, Lincoln play tricks with Laurent and Laurent kill the wrong person. He kills tom instead of Lincoln. Lincoln and Jordan believe that they need to help the other clones. Therefore, they go back to the station and destroy the system that separate the station and the real world. Because of the braveness of Lincoln, Merrick is dead and the clones get back their freedom.

The convincing acting skills among the actors made this film become breathtaking. The scenes which talk about the surgeries of Starkweather Two Delta (Michael Clarke Duncan) and Lima One Alpha (Siobhan Flynn) are brilliant. It shows the cold-blooded and ruthless of the workers in the organization. They neglect the truth that clones have their own life. They use the clones as a product to earn. When Starkwaether is trying to escape, they use weapons to catch him and take away his organism and his precious life. They even kill Lima after she gave birth. On the other hand, the special effects of this film are absolutely brilliant. The highly dramatic car chase scenes and the blood-curding fight scenes are well-made. When Lincoln and Jordan are trying to escape from Albert Laurent (Djimon Hounsou), there is a car chasing scenes and fighting scenes in the highway. The car crashes is realistic and also it induces an exciting moment. Moreover, the stunts double perform incredibly wonderful in this movie. When Dr. Merrick and Lincoln are fighting in the underground organization, the stunt double make the scene become more irritating. The excellent stunts can really emphasize the action scenes well enough. However, the script and dialogue are not good enough compared to the special effects. They are based on some short statement, such as ‘Run’, ‘Keep going’ etc. Although the script and dialogue are not written well enough, the fighting scenes are well-produced. Also, the writers use simple sentences for Lincoln and Jordan’s dialogue in order to show that their knowledge stops at three to four years old children. This kind of dialogue is well-used for the clones in this movie. All in all, this film boasts the high-tech screenplay with action-packed plot, convincing acting and fabulous special effects. ‘The Island’ is massively a though-provoking and considerable film. Just go along and enjoy this incredibly well-written film.
