Abstract
Jordan repeatedly said, “There’s no nobility in poverty” (Scorsese, M. (Director). (12/25/2013). The Wolf of Wall Street [Motion picture on DVD]. A propaganda of change, a growth of a normal individual who aimed to be a millionaire and rule the streets. Mark Hanna thought him a game “The name of the game, moving the money from the client’s pocket to your pocket” (Scorsese, M. (Director). (12/25/2013). The Wolf of Wall Street [Motion picture on DVD]. United States of America: Paramount Pictures). Further the misuse of client faiths and misleading the clients happens and Jordon Belfort makes his earning through the games he plays with his clients and also about how he brings the original first twenty of the company and what qualifications they have. The company culture is brought into picture as to how Stratton Oakmont Inc., used to enjoy their every single earning and what was motivating such young talents in the society to do such a job. The Wolf of Wall Street. The Wolf of Wall Street takes us back to late-1980s/early-1990s New York City, where Queens boy Jordan Belfort, a role played by Leonardo DiCaprio successfully, has been determinedly functioning since his youth to achieve the American reverie of becoming filthy rich in the financial service industries. Alas, Jordan’s entrance on Wall Street came at a time when the market was going through one of its major recessions, leaving the ambitious and ruthless young man in a professional wasteland with no sense of direction (Scorsese, M. (Director). (12/25/2013). The Wolf of Wall Street [Motion picture on DVD]. United States of America: Paramount Pictures).
Searching for a way through the finance industry to get a license to print money, Jordan sniffs out work at a little penny-stock firm – a spot loaded with clumsy people, who have never seen a genuine wolf at work. Inside of months Jordan is making handsome profits and he rapidly proceeds onward to a more excellent vision: opening a stock brokerage firm made out of his amigos and other roughneck sales representatives who wouldn't fret cheating individuals in quest for individual increase. Be that as it may, with drugs, cash, ladies and all-around overabundance flooding his life, Jordan's rule as "The Wolf of Wall Street" is soon hampered by a persistent FBI specialist played by Kyle Chandler (Scorsese, M. (Director). (12/25/2013). The Wolf of Wall Street [Motion picture on DVD]. United States of America: Paramount Pictures).
Money has an evil side. Success also brings unwanted baggage. Jordan also became a victim of women and drugs. Given a R Ratings because of the drug abuse, pornography and nudity, the movie has many critics. “The Wolf of Wall Street is an outrageous and repugnant reflection of something very real – and very rotten – at the core of our society” (Outlaw, K. [2013, December 24]. Screen Rant. Retrieved March 29, 2016, from http://screenrant.com/wolf-of-wall-street-reviews-2013/)
As a double – edged sword cuts two ways, there are many positive aspects at one end but the negative aspects cannot be neglected too. The icon comes from a poor background and aims to have all the American Dreams i.e. becoming a millionaire. Not only him, there are millions of people everyday who think about such a lifestyle which is common for all of us. “Money is a great servant but bad disaster” – Francis Bacon said it correctly as becoming rich is good; but, don’t let it become a disaster. Jordan Belfort is passionate about making money and he single mindedly and relentlessly pursues his dreams. Jordan is a very convincing and smooth talker who understands the human psyche very well. Jordan was always there to help the needy for an instance: a part of the money was, a lady comes for the job and demands for a US$5000 in order to pay her son’s tuition, Jordan hired here and gave her a US$25000 advance check in order to set a good life to work better. He is greedy about the money and even committed sins to achieve his goals but he never stopped motivating his employees from becoming rich. A very wonderful line said by him to his employees showing the Stratton Oakmont Inc. that “The only thing standing between you and your goal is to the bullshit thing you keep on telling yourself every time as to why you can’t achieve it?” (Scorsese, M. (Director). (12/25/2013). The Wolf of Wall Street [Motion picture on DVD]. United States of America: Paramount Pictures). Culturally Jordan Belfort always tried to tell his employees to succeed and helped them to achieve success and make them earn more. But as said, if there are positives there are negatives too. Jordan gave up on his 1st wife for he wanted be with the one who is very beautiful and also had built a sexual relationship with her. He lost a wife who cared for him and who lived for him rather than his bank balances. Also, the movie depicts too much of sexual content. There are almost 22 sex scenes in the film and many of them are back to back (Holz, A. R. (n.d.). Jordan Belfort is feeling bullish about his future. Retrieved March 29, 2016, from http://www.pluggedin.com/movie-reviews/wolf-of-wall-street/). Too much of sex is shown which according to me makes the movie a bit loud and long. Another negative impact is the usage of drugs. Young impressionable minds can easily get swayed seeing such films (Holz, A. R. (n.d.). Jordan Belfort is feeling bullish about his future. Retrieved March 29, 2016, from http://www.pluggedin.com/movie-reviews/wolf-of-wall-street/). There is lots of violence shown in the movie specially the fight scenes after drugs between Jordan Belfort and Donny his business partner was horrible. Also the Lamborghini incident were again Jordan Belfort was high on drug intake and hits everything in between the 1-mile distance between his house and the country club and many more. Ethically the movie didn’t show anything great as to it was always against the laws. The language used and the way Jordan Belfort tried bribing the integrity of the cop who is working on the case (Holz, A. R. (n.d.). Jordan Belfort is feeling bullish about his future. Retrieved March 29, 2016, from http://www.pluggedin.com/movie-reviews/wolf-of-wall-street/).
Did adding any increased the values of the movie? It just made it too loud to bring it in the public. How could the central board approve this movie? Yes! Many questions aroused too in my mind after watching a hilarious comedy and drama film. But, it was a real incident which happened and Martin Scorsese thought of bringing it in front of people as a movie. Accepting the fact that it was too ostentatious to be demonstrated, still I would say that this movie has been made superbly well. Martin Scorsese brings out the best of Dicaprio, even in the smaller roles other actors have given fabulous performances, the film keeps you on the edge throughout the run time, but is it meant to rejoice the relentless pursuit of wealth or serve as a cautionary tale against it!!! Although the film inspires a debate...there is frantic energy to the movie until the very end. The duo of Scorsese and Dicaprio create a brilliant result. I would give it an (A) certification for showing excessive usage of drugs, sex and the frequent use of the word F throughout the film but a Three & Half Star rating to the film overall.

...REVIEW ON THE DARK KNIGHT RISES The Dark Knight Rises(New York , July 16, 2012) is a superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan. It is the sequel to The Dark Knight (2008).The film introduces two main characters to Nolan's series: Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) and Bane (Tom Hardy). It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane. Making of The Dark Night Rises seems very excellent, because it is focused on nice editing style, camera focusing, attractive environment & technology. I enjoy every scene and it attracts me a lot. In this movie director hasn’t give any extra power to the hero. He uses his technological power to attain his mission. Christian Bale can perform his shooting excellently. He played the role of Batman perfectly. It mainly entertains me by its main theme & script writing. I find many...

Mark is punished with six months of academic probation after the traffic to the site brings down parts of Harvard's computer network, and he becomes vilified among most of Harvard's female community. ...2 fast 2 furious Review 2 fast 2 furious is one of the best car street racing movies to watch. The Miami police department has been tracking down a drug lord, Carter Verone, but cannot find any evidence to arrest him. The department has Monica Fuentes, an undercover agent, as Verone’s girlfriend. They need street racers in order to capture Verone, so they arrest the main actor Brian O’ Connell at the end of a street race and take him to the department. At the department, they give him the breakdown about Verone and try to assign him a partner. He does not like the partner they try to give him, so he decides to pick his own, Roman Pearce. Their main job is to work undercover and arrest Verone so that their records will get cleared and they can walk away as free men. I like this movie because of the great acting performed by the main actors and the cars. 2 fast 2 furious has great acting. Paul Walker and Tyree Gibson do an excellent job playing the parts of Brian O’ Connell and Roman Pearce. Brian, a former cop, plays a good role as an undercover cop. Roman on the other hand, plays the role of a thug. He is tattooed and dresses with baggy clothes. He uses a lot of slang and likes to use the word “bruh” a lot, which is a slang term for brother. He is a thug because he had to spend three years in jail. He blaims Brian for that and when he first sees him in the movie he punches him in the face out of anger and they begin to fight. As the movie goes on, the hate that he has for...

...Review of “Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story” The movie “Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story” is a biographical drama recounting of the colorful life of legendary martial arts star Bruce Lee. The film is written based on the Bruce’s window Linda’ book "Bruce Lee: the man only I knew", and directed by Rob Cohen and starred Jason Scott Lee. This biographical drama released in the United States in year 1993, and inspired a Kong Fu hit in Hollywood. The film gives audiences the closest account of inner Bruce Lee and represents his childhood in Hong Kong, to his days as a dishwasher, a teacher of martial arts and eventual martial art super star in Hollywood. Bruce Lee is an absolute legend of martial art, and he was prominent figure that represented strength and mastery. This film is a retelling of Bruce’ life, but also shows how Bruce went up to the top and fought against obstacles along the way to his success. I was deeply impressed by Bruce’s talents and efforts, and fascinated by his mental capacity. In the film, Bruce was plotted against by another martial art master Chinatown and nearly died from injury. However, with his wife’s encouragements, he changed his fight methods and created his own concept of Kong Fu called Jeet Kune Do. This film also shows discrimination towards Chinese, which made me so sad. Racial discrimination presented in this film was great and targeted not only towards Bruce but also other Chinese in the United States. I still remember there is a scene that when Bruce...

...A well-known filmmaker Robert Zemeckis got a reputation as a state of the art filmmaker in 1985 when he directed the comedic time travel “Back to The Future” film series. He went on to make Academy Award movies such as ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit” and “Forest Gump” (June 3, 2011). “Flight” stars a well-rounded acting veteran Denzel Washington. Washington plays a flight captain, Whip Whittaker, who is at the difficult time in his life battling drug and alcohol addiction as a flight captain. He becomes a hero and has to make a decision that can change his life. After reviewing the movie we can determine the reason for him becoming a hero, the "real" Whip, and my final review of the film. In the movie “Flight”, the major character Denzel Washington presents a bad portrait of professionalism. He plays an airline flight captain addicted to money, sex, and alcohol. Whip decides to use cocaine to wake up after a night with little sleep to fly the next morning. That morning during the flight Whip meets intense turbulence. In fact, while at cruising altitude, Whip falls asleep leading the copilot to take over. Finally, a mechanical noise wakes him abruptly. Here is when we see the characteristic that appears to make Whip a hero. His confidence to land the plane during mechanical malfunction is very symbolic in terms of being seen as a hero. The standout heroic moment in the film is when the plane travels at high speeds straight for the ground and Whip purposely turns’ the plane upside...

...CHINA BLUE China Blue is one of the movies that were being filmed at the International Film Series that I watched. It is an eighty-seven minute long documentary that takes us into the lives of blue-jeans factory workers, particularly Jasmine and Orchid. These teenage girls are shown striving hard to survive the harsh conditions of the factory and make some money so they can send it back to their parents. These teenage workers are made to work more than the regular hours and are hardly ever paid for overtime. They are not given any breaks except for a short lunch break which is used for doing chores, or they would have to sacrifice the two or three hours of sleep they get to finish these chores. These workers are exploited by the Li Feng company, which is run by Mr.Lam. Mr. Lam would try to get orders for shipment from different companies located in different countries. For this he would have to agree to very low prices and would be left with hardly any profits. Hence, these seamstresses were made to work extremely hard around the clock to meet the time-sensitive order requirements. However, they were not even paid the minimum wage. They were charged for food and housing and fined for being late or taking breaks which left them with hardly any money at the end. They were not even paid this amount until the workers confronted the management and threatened to not work if they were not paid. The management also made the workers lie to any inspectors who would come to inspect...

...My favourite movie is “The Dictator”. It was produced in year 2012 and starring one of the most renowned actor, Sasha Baron Cohen. It is a comedy film and it features a little mockumentary. As a form of parody to current world issues revolving around the topic of democracy and dictatorship, it tells the story of how a ruler risked his life for the sake of oppressing democracy. The movie takes a straight pinch at the world politics by making jokes of those we called our leaders. The brave act from the actor cum script-writer to film such a mockumentary is indeed worth the praises. The reason why I chose this as my favourite movie is because of the following reasons: Firstly, the movie is indeed a great joy to watch. I am very sure that it captured my attention from the start of the movie, where it paid tribute to the late dictator of North Korea - Kim Jong-Il, till when it ends with the ruler finally giving in to democracy. The plot of the movie is entertaining throughout. Secondly, I could not remember laughing as much from other comedies I have watched in my entire life. It is really a humorous movie throughout and the contexts of its parodies are indeed easy to grasp. Lastly, I have always been a fan of Sasha Baron Cohen. He is an intelligent and genius, I would call it in script writing for such films. One other notable film produced by him is, Borat. This movie is definitely suitable for people who are stressed up and in need of some laughter to brighten up their...

A coach persevering with the whole community and his players, and the players and coach having the desire to believe they can win and that they belong. The Major Characters The biggest character in the movie was played by Gene Hackman as Coach Norman Dale. Norm was an old college basketball coach who returned to coaching after twelve years to coach at a small High School in Indiana. The next major character was Myra Fleener, a fellow school teacher that looked after Jimmy and did not treat Norm very well at first. She eventually respects him and believes in the coach and they form a relationship. The third major character in the movie was Shooter, a drunk father to one of the players. Norm took him under his wing and built up his confidence and helped him to get sober. The fourth major character in this movie I felt was Jimmy Chipwood. Yeah, he didn’t say much throughout the movie, but he was a major theme in the movie and was seen throughout it. Jimmy was the star player who decided not...
