In the table above I have written down what my skills are and the required skills to be a police officer in the order of 1 being very bad and 10 being very good.
For Co-ordination have given myself a 6 because I know I am not the best at Co-ordination but I know I can get better at it. For punctuality as I have given myself an 8 because make sure that I am always on time to anything where there is a time when to get there by also my attendance 97 at college at this time so I think that my punctuality good at this time. Also I am always on time but I don’t always bring my work in on time only sometime over all I have rectified it and I make sure I bring in on time .
For effective communication I have given myself a 10 because I am very good communicating at always talk to people and get the point across when given instructions. When I am talking to or if I am communication is just listening and then doing what they say for example a job they tell you what to do and then you put words in to action they speak louder than words.
Leadership I have given myself a 9 because I’m good at leading but I do need to try and take charge of the team a bit more so that I can gain confidence and get better at it so it will come easier for when I join the uniformed services.
For Organisation I have given myself an 8 because my work is not in on time some time. But on the good side always try and organise myself keep on target with my work which is important over all I still need to work on my organisation skills for me to get better at it.i make sure I put first things first so if one piece of work is in on a Tuesday and the next one is in on the following week then I would I would do the work that has to in handed in first.
For problem solving I have given myself a 10 because I’m good at problems solving the reason I am talk calmly to people when in bad situation and try find a solution to solve the problem.
Respect to race and diversity I have given myself 9 as I always respect other people of their different races and there diversity as it would be very disrespectful so I would never do offend no one

For reliability I have given myself a 9 because I always do what I’m told and in terms of work I always get my work done. I have positive attitude I have given myself a 9 because I try to have a good attitude towards work and I turn up on time for college. For Integrity I have given myself a 9 because I always tell the truth about anything that that I’ve been to, even if I’m asked about how much work I’ve done and I’m nowhere near completed it I will always tell the truth. D1: This assignment I am going to be comparing my skills and quiltes against somebody in the police. The tables on the first page helps to show how I have compared the important skills between me and the police. Problem solving I have given a police officer a 10 and myself a 10 because you have to be able to overcome any obstacles that get in your way, for example you think what’s the best way to break into a building for a raid so no one will run off or get hurt . Also calming situation down so they don’t get out of control. Punctuality is another important skill in the police if they did not turn up on time to at scene then the person that has committed the crime will probably get away and might commit more crimes In the future have given a police officer a 10 and myself a 8 because you are required to always turn up on time and get paperwork in on time, for example if you don’t a case file completed for court, the judges won’t be able to charge the criminal or they could lose the and then you could be in a lot of trouble for not doing your job. Effective communication is one of the most important skills to have in the police force this is why I have given communication a good ratting I have given a police officer a 10 and myself a 10 because to be a police officer you need to be able to talk to the communities to get information like a description of a suspect or a crime and lead a team to get the job done. Reliability I have given a police officer a 9 and myself a 9 because as a police officer your superiors need to know if you are able to do your job and that you are able to help the community, if not you could give the police force a bad name and also could not lead team or work as part of a team if did not have reliability. Integrity I have given a police officer a 9 and myself a 9 because you have to be honest to your superiors so will they be able to trust you, for example if a witness gives you information on a suspect and you forget to tell anybody in the force then the suspect will get away and it could be win loose case in court.
Co-ordination I have given a police officer a 8 and myself a 6 because you have to be able to follow instructions and have good Co-ordination and complete tasks without hesitation, for example if you have a friend who happens to be a suspect and you are asked to give information about them you have to follow orders or you could lose your job if you or be serious trouble.
Respect for race and diversity it is very important skill in the police this because the police could not just assume that because someone someone is black that it was them who committed the crime leadership and team work are not as important as most objective are given to you and you alone as you are given team objective so that is when you can use team work and leadership skill there for I as I always respect other people of their different Races and there diversity as it would be very disrespespectful so I would never do this I have given a police officer a 9 and myself a 9 because police officers are sometimes required to deal with people that are from a different country and have to be able to think of them as if they are like any other person, for example, you’ve been told to stop and search someone who have been seen doing drugs and it happens to be a black person, they will have a go at you and think your being racist but you still have to treat them as you do other people.
Leadership is very important skill that is needed in the police force I have given the police a 10 as it is very important that everybody in the police has good leadership skills so if they needed to use in any situation it would come naturally and would not be hard for them to take charge if need begin I have given myself 8 because I do need to try and lead a bit better as a team player when participating in sports in general.
