TASK A

Health and safety has a big part within the construction environment. You have to be aware about all the hazards and health and safety in the construction industry.
As you will be working on construction sites you need to be aware of all the things around you - and have protective clothing such as – safety boots goggles, helmets, gloves, earplugs and hi-vest.
Also you must be aware of different kinds of materials being used and gases and fumes being let out so a mask to cover your mouth and nose will reduce the risk of fumes you intake. Most importantly you have to keep everyone around you safe while working.
Health and safety is also subject to good site practice being followed. So on every work site there should be risk assessment sheets.
To minimize the risk of injury: * All the hazards that will be involved they need to be identified.

* Suitable precautions to avoid or reduce these risks into a safe system work.

Heavy loads and poor posture: * Excessive stress and strain easing injury to muscles and tendons, particularly where handing involves bending. Twisting or other different postures.

* Slips, trips, and falls, including damage caused by dropped blocks

* Sharp edges: cuts and abrasions to the skin,

* Skin hazards dermatitis, burns and similar conditions caused by contact with mortar. Health and safety training for all workers is essential and
