Ms. Way is a 25-year-old female who presented to the ED with a suicidal intentionally cutting her left wrist. Ms. Way stated: "I hate my fucking self." She continues to state,"I want my life to end." At the time of assessment, Ms. Way is calm and cooperative. Ms. Way denies feeling suicidal with a plan. Ms. Way reports work, lack of support, and legal issues as the primary stressors contributing to her current distress. When confronted about admitting being suicidal and having a plan to the nursing staff patient stated "That was the fucking point of cutting myself." Ms. Way reports in the past few weeks her depression has worsen. Ms. Way reports drinking tonight and going into her bathroom around 9pm. She reports taking a scalpel from work
