1. How would creating a new coordinating position between the CEO and the location managers help the business grow?
By creating a new coordinating position between the CEO and the location mangers Sandwich Blitz, Inc. will grow by allow Dalman to focus on whether they should franchise the brand or have an internal expansion with more company-owned shops.
2. Is promoting an existing manager the best option to fill this position? If not, what is an alternative source to fill the position?
According to Lei there are two other existing location managers that have excelled and are qualified for the position if offered. Should the two location managers not be up to the task for any reason Sandwich Blitz, Inc. can always hire externally. While hiring internally will motivate employees especially other location mangers to up their performance sometimes hiring externally is necessary.
3. Who within the company should make these decisions?
Dalman would the person with the most experience and knowledge for the skills necessary at this level. Dalman would be the best suited to make this particular decision for the company.
4. List the levels of authority (management) that Sandwich Blitz, Inc. would have if the new position is created.
Sandwich Blitz, Inc. is owned by Dalman Smith the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Lei Lee the Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). There is the corporate accountant Jayin Chopra and eight location managers and team supervisors. If the new position is created there will be a sixth level of authority. I believe this position will fall under Jayin Chopra but the position will not report to Jayin

In order to come to the right conclusion they need to do a SWOT analysis which means finding a strength, weakness, opportunity and threat in regards to their business.
