...MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS Each question consists of a stem, which supplies the central question or problem. Each question contains responses, from which individuals must choose the correct response. Incorrect responses are called distracters, and the correct response is simply called the answer. Multiple-choice questions can appear in a variety of forms. The stem can be a complete direct question as in the following: Which of the following systems does the stomach belong? A. skeletal B. respiratory C. nervous D. digestive Or, the stem can be in the form of an incomplete statement, as follows: A neutered male horse is called a : A. gelding B. pinto C. palomino D. roan Individuals are asked to identify the best response from among those listed. Multiple-Choice Questions can be used to measure achievement in all six levels of the cognitive domain. Constructing Multiple-Choice Questions- The stem should be significant. The best stem for a multiple-choice question is one that would make a good completion question if you didn't supply responses to choose from. The stem should state the question or problem, sufficiently so that only the right choice is justified as the answer. ...This set of 28 questions, taken from prior examinations, covers topics in Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. The purpose of sample multiple choice questions is to acquaint you with the style and substance of typical exam questions over this material. Please be aware that: 1. multiple choice format questions are only one of many resources available to prepare for testing events – reading textbook chapters and working through chapter examples, studying the end-of-chapter review problem and accompanying solution, and reviewing assigned homework items and the published solutions may be more powerful methods to increase your understanding of the topics covered in the course. 2. the exam questions used this quarter will be similar but different from these example questions – understanding the main concepts in each chapter is critical to success on the testing events; remembering a sample question may be of some help but the format of a question on the same topic often differs rendering memory a distant second choice to understanding. The Questions: 6. Scheney Company uses the weighted-average method in its process costing system. The company's work in process inventory on March 31 consisted of 20,000 units. The units in the ending work in process inventory were 100% complete with respect to materials and 70% complete with respect to labor and overhead. If the cost per equivalent unit for March was $2.50 for materials and $4.75 for labor and overhead, the total cost in the...

...Santana Morrison Management Coming into Winston Salem State I was going to major in Accounting, until I took Principles of Financial Management my first semester here. I did really well in the class, but it came down to me having to pass the final exam in order to pass the class. The exams giving throughout the year were mainly short answer and a few multiple choice questions, but the final exam was all multiple choice. I made a B on the final, which was the highest grade I made out of all the exams. I didn’t like that and the fact that the professor told us that if we made a C in the course we shouldn’t go on to accounting two. I did let it discourage me and somewhat had an effect on changing my major, but I should have not let that change my mind. In another course we had quizzes every Thursday, I missed two quizzes (due to surgery and illness) and it brought me from a high C to a D. The professor always told me to email him even when I had questions for the final exam and asked if I could meet with him to go over the study guide. When I took the exam I couldn’t answer many questions because I felt like I didn’t have extra help and even tutors here on campus couldn’t help me, but that’s another issue. I feel that the curriculum for business maybe a little challenging at times. Also, professors should always encourage their students and help them when they need help, but not by email. I decided to pick up the Human Resource Concentration last spring and so far I like the HR...
