Multiple Intelligences Gardner recognizes 9 types of intelligences or learning styles. These are crucial to recognize within the learning environment for optimum success. Acknowledging a learner’s intelligence(s) can provide a more successful knowledge transfer while making use of technology has made it even simpler to include the intelligences into a single learning subject.
Verbal-linguistic intelligence means these types are generally good with words and speaking (NIU, n.d.). Talents existing in rhythm, music, and sounds are common with this learning style (Lever-Duffy, 2011). These types may prefer to listen or have information set to a beat or music.
Logical-mathematical intelligence types may possess a grasp on logical and numerical concepts and abstracts (NIU, n.d.). Concepts in logic are a strong-suit of these learners. They may also excel in the mathematical careers.
Spatial-visual intelligence types visualize concepts mentally (NIU, n.d.). They may think in pictures as well (Lever-Duffy & McDonald, 2011). These learners can manipulate things in their minds such as numbers.
Bodily-kinesthetic intelligences learn through hands-on and physical activities (NIU, n.d.). Their skills reside in controlling body movements or memorizing by doing (Lever-Duffy & McDonald, 2011). This can include writing, building, and physical manipulation of objects.
Musical intelligences may produce and/or appreciate music and rhythm (NIU, n.d.). These learners can put the subject to rhythm or music or may just always have music in the background to absorb the needed material(s). Musical intelligences may also choose a career path related to music or sound.
Intrapersonal intelligences may possess a higher understanding of the inner knowledge of self and feelings (Lever-Duffy & McDonald,

My opinion on the topic has not changed in the slightest, but I did learn a lot of interesting details concerning it. I have always felt that marijuana should be legalized, or at the very least, people with serious medical conditions should have access to it. And marijuana doesn’t even have to be legalized in my opinion, but it should definitely be decriminalized. I don’t think anyone who wants to smoke a plant that they grow themselves should have to suffer consequences, considering they are responsible in their recreational smoking. I do feel that if it were legalized, that there should be an acceptable age limit to buy and/or consume marijuana, comparable to that of alcohol. There are beneficial as well as harmful effects concerning marijuana, but that goes for a lot of things people do in everyday life. And I feel that a lot of time has been spent shining the spotlight on the harmful effects of marijuana, while little research has been done or even allowed, on the benefits of marijuana. While preparing for the debate, I encountered many sources on each end of the spectrum; including some in the middle.
