Developing intelligent systems, innovating tomorrow's technology today and writing complex algorithms are some of the things I envision doing in the future. My life time goal is to run my own successful venture in a high-end
STEM specialization. This being my professional goal, I want to spend time with friends and family in a happy environment, unwinding in my free time doing things that I enjoy doing.

Science and technology has always interested me and the basic sciences were my favourite subjects throughout middle school. I have undertaken various projects and represented my school in various interschool exhibitions and workshops. The projects I presented at two such workshops include: the prospects of using

Independent of school, I attended various Robotics workshops. In one of these, at Ark technologies, I used Embedded C and understood how programs send signals to a robot at the click of a few buttons and how that brught about physical movements in machines. These projects and experiences have fortified my interest in computer science applications. Therefore I intend to pursue a BS in Computer sciences or in a related engineering domain.

I have also had various experiences that have helped shape my personality and thinking. At Bombay Scottish, I have been a part of the student council for three years, I was the school Vice-captain and the MacGregor House Vice-captain in standards Ten and Nine, respectively. I learnt a lot from these experiences. I was exposed to many new situations, as a leader, organiser, participant, when I gave speeches for numerous events, participated in the organisation of various competitions and chaired several school events. I also enjoyed starting up and leading the community services project and faced few difficult situations too.

Students did not look in their direction, therefore they felt alienated from the school’s mainstream.

I began the project to restore the staff’s self-respect; help them live respectable lives in last year’s April vacations. With the help of a few friends, I initiated the project to teach the support-staff every Saturday. We formulated the course content and a time-table and started the project with twenty student volunteers; teaching for three hours, every week. Everyone was enthusiastic at the start and the initiative carried on well for a few months.

However, the project started losing momentum, the staff and volunteers’ interest began waning, attendance became irregular, as everyone was bored and preferred to do other things on Saturdays. I started feeling that I was the only one interested in the project and was failing to convert my interest into the group’s purpose. Retaining the support staff’s attention was becoming difficult, people were coming late and once, a few volunteers even preferred to go to the school football field, instead of coming to teach. I was getting concerned and started discussions on how to revive the project.

Then I came up with an idea, to merge two of my greatest interests,

Many Many Sops

...collection of lots of sops of lots of seniors. Browse. According to whacko. (Addressed to our batch) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As for SOPs, don't worry too much. All of you have good writing skills. Anyway, my advice on this matter is: [1] Have a look at some SOPs *now* or early next SEM. [2] When it's time to write your own SOP, do it *fully* by yourself. Do not look at anybody else's SOP. [3] Having made version 1.0 of your SOP, *now* take a look at as many SOPs as you can of guys in your area. Borrow points from then which you think are good. [4] Your SOP does not have to be too big. We at IITB tend to write long SOPs (1.5 to 2 pages) whereas IITM guys (who get better schools!)Usually write 0.75 page (max. 1 page). Basically, their SOPs are much more direct and to-the-point than ours. [5] REMEMBER THAT A SOP *MUST* BE ORIGINAL.
