Football has always been my subculture any time, any day. Football which is popularly known worldwide by many football fans based on the entertainment and excitement it brings to its supporters. The game of football unites countries, clubs and fans together because of the pleasure they gained from it. It is a game (football) that is played with eleven players each on both sides, ie home and away team. According to classic football, “the history of football started about 100years ago in England in 1863, when the association was formed after the rugby football and association football branched off on their different courses.” Since the establishment of football, there have been rules governing the game. The body controlling the game of football for national teams is called FIFA. FIFA acronym means Federation International Football Association. Also, another body controlling clubs football is called UEFA. UEFA means Union European Football Association. Football as my subculture attracts viewers in the world through buying and selling of footballers and managers, European Leagues and quality of football pitches which also includes TV right.
Footballers have the access to move from one European club to the other; under the UEFA rule. Footballers around the world are appreciated by their fans worldwide due to their performances in their various clubs. The buying and selling of European footballers enables football supporters to have good feelings of where their favorite players are sold to. Many European clubs like: ChelseaFc, Real MadridFC, ArsenalFC, and Manchester City etc spend hugely on players. According to The Guardian, “Real Madrid confirms the signing of Gareth Bale for a fee of one hundred million pounds.” European clubs have huge sponsorships and endorsement packages for their players. According to Skysportsnews.com, “ChelseaFc break British record by signing Fernando Torres from LiverpoolFc at the price of fifty million pounds.” The movement of footballers from one club to the other helps to improve and attracts the attention of people to some country leagues that are not popular.
There is no argument that European Leagues are the best in the world. European leagues vary, such as: English premier league, Spanish league, German league, Italian league, French league, Dutch league, Scottish league and Portuguese league. However, the biggest of all these leagues is the UEFA Champions league. UEFA Champions league is the greatest competition in Europe. This competition was founded in May 15, 1954. According to UEFA.com, “UEFA Champions league was established to unite and formed association among European countries in order to develop various European leagues and also raise funds for its members.” UEFA Champions league calendar runs from September to May. The competition is played with thirty-two teams from various European leagues. The name Champions league means that, two to three champions in every European country will compete with one another in the competition. UEFA Champions league is interesting to watch because each club plays one another both home and away and there is a group of eight consisting of four teams each. Each Champions league groups always produce a leader and a runner’s up. Moreover, after the group stage, the competition gets tougher and advance to round of 16. Round of 16 is considered a knockout stage where the remaining 16 teams play both home and away match, in which the winner will be judge with goals aggregate. Also, the same knockout procedure continues among the remaining eight – four teams until it get to the final stage where the true champion is known. ChelseaFc were crowned the king of European football in 2011/2012 season. Bayern MunicheFC are the defending champion who won it last year and also contending for it again this season. European Champions League uniting people together through football.
The quality of football pitches also attracts football fans to dedicate their time for the game; with the inclusion of TV right. According to bleacher’s sport, “Power- Rankings World Football’s 50 Best Stadiums.” European football is great today with the quality and maintenance of football pitches. Clubs owners and management ensures that their football pitches are up to standard. UEFA, the regulating body of European football set standards for football pitches and encourage all club owners to follow this standard. Before and after any match, pitches are to be wet and grasses are to be cut to normal level in order to ensure players safety when playing on the pitch. The biggest TV right in European football is in England. According to BBCsport.com, “BT sport wins 897 million pounds football right deal.” This deal is a big shock to both skysport and ITVsport according to a spoke person. TV right has been a broadcasting source since the establishment of football. English premier league has the highest bidders in terms of broadcasting any European leagues in the world. However, English league has the highest football supporters in the world because it is the most competitive and challenging league in the world. Every season, English premier league produces the highest TV coverage than any other league in Europe because it has the best players and quality managers. According to Premier League, “English premier league has the highest supporters in the world.” Without the creation of football, there wouldn’t have been the best foot pitches and TV right.
Since the inception of football, the world has united globally and financially through the buying and selling of players. For instance, Gareth Bale who was bought with 100 million pounds from Tottenham Hotspur in England, helps to boosts the economy and English football. Likewise, Neymar bought from Santos in Brazil with 60 million pounds, provides financial capital and tax rate for his country (Brazil). UEFA Champions league which is considered as European prestigious league in the world has the highest sponsorships and market in Europe. UEFA Champions League also generates funds from supporters and fans by creating a website called BET where people bet around the world online. The TV right and quality pitches wouldn’t have been possible if not for the passion and desire people have for football. Luiz Figo a former Portuguese player said: “Thanks to Football.”

My Life to Save

...Prologue I leaned over the toilet for the fourth time this morning spilling whatever was left in my stomach. I dry heaved for the next five minutes trying to rid whatever was giving me this ill feeling. Once I finished I wiped the sweat off my forehead and laid back against my cold tub. It felt good against my warm skin. I removed my sweat drenched shirt and just laid against the tile floor. I have never experience such pain and nausea in my life. I didn’t want to think about the many possibilities that could be wrong with me. "Ki you alright?" asked my eight year old brother behind my bathroom door. "Yes boo just go get me a bottle of water." I could hear him scurrying off down the stairs to the kitchen. I tried my best to stand up but I just felt too weak. All of a sudden my body grew very tired and I couldn’t get my body to move. I heard my door open and a scream. "Mom, Dad hurry!" yelled my brother Jasone. I didn’t understand why he was screaming until I followed his horrified eyes down to my floor and there was blood everywhere. I slowly reached up to touch my nose and I felt the blood all over my hands and I knew something was definitely wrong. My brother rushed over to me and held my head in his lap as he cried. I tried to reach up and touch him but it all hurt too much. "Lord please I’m not ready to die." I said to myself. "Mom!!" my brother cried out again. "Jasone what is you doing in your sister room and screaming on-" she couldn’t continue her sentence as she...

Failure In My Life

...I have failed many times, at many things, at many different points of time in my life. The lesson that I have learnt from these failures has been just one.......TRY AGAIN & TRY HARDER. Not to put it in a clichéd manner but the above mentioned lesson has pushed me closer to my goals and has made me deliver the results when it was necessary for me to do so. For instance my application for TEDx license was rejected TWICE by TED yet I applied again for the 3rd time and got the license and got the event hosted when it was supposed to be hosted. But the biggest challenge in my life came when in a football game I tore the ligaments of my right leg. My Approach to Life

...What is Your Approach to Life? By DeAnn Adler After many years of living, I still don’t have life completely figured out and I’m assuming I never will, but age has given me some wisdom and I have hopefully learned a few things in all that time. I have not one philosophy of life, but many, and all of them put together make me the person I am today. During my senior year in high school over thirty-two years ago, the teacher in my civics class asked what we students thought was the secret to a happy life. A blond, curly headed boy in the class answered that he thought “everything in moderation” was the key to a successful, happy life. I’ve never forgotten those words, even after all this time, and they’ve become a part of who I am and how I’ve lived my life. In ancient Greece, the temple of Apollo at Delphi bore the inscription Meden Agan - 'Nothing in excess'. 1 The ancient Greeks knew what my high school classmate had—that moderation makes life run more smoothly. Moderation in this day and age is not always hip though. What are cool are extremes, from extreme sports to extreme home makeovers. But it seems that for a lot of people, straying from the path of moderation causes nothing but heartache, from the drinker who loses everything to the bottle, to the gambler who loses his life’s savings. The more extreme our wants, the more we must accumulate to make ourselves happy. But I also think moderation can make for an extremely boring life. It’s a life played safely and without...

Than they have to stop for a while and contemplate about their life goals, their life philosophy. This essay will present my philosophy of life. First of all, the most important thing for me is my family. According to my rules, they are always on the first place, and can count on me, just the same like I can count on them. I was raised by my parents to be a good man who tries to be always kind and helpful for the other people and live in harmony with commandments of my religion. The next thing about my philosophy of life is a proper attitude what means that I have a lot of faith in myself and I am taking challenges with believing in final success. Optimism is very important in man’s life and we cannot forget about it, because it helps in bearing up with difficulties. Having friends is also important; however, the point is to choose wisely and surround yourself with well-wishing and loyal people which won’t stab you in the back when you will need help. My philosophy of life tells that I always have to be myself and listen to my heart as much as I listen to my mind and to play along with the voice of my conscience. I believe, that man should develop himself, every time try to experience something new and always use an opportunity to increase his knowledge in order to be conscious and intelligent. Summing up...

Someone Who Influenced My Life

...Why would an author of a book influence me so much? It is because Daniel Quinn has written "My Ishmael" in such a beautiful way that what he's thinking comes across to you like as though you're having a conversation in person with him. He uses a talking Gorilla as a means to convey his points of view on how the world is in a degenerative mode and though I felt this strange at first, it became clear later as to why he used a Gorilla in the first place. The Gorilla here represents nature's voice and is a reminder that we need to look for ways to communicate with nature, first hand. This was the first eye opening aspect from the author. The second was the author's penchant for coming up with brilliant stories to derive and communicate his point to the reader. Instead of driving in his philosophies by pure theory would have been boring and heavy, but the author uses wonderful and thought provoking stories to do the same, so effectively. The first was the simple concept of food kept under lock and key. This is a practice that comes so naturally to us, but he brings out why this is a very unnatural way of things. For early man, what grew in the world belonged to everyone in the society, and to put it under lock and key is to basically create a working class who will do tasks, useful or useless, in order to earn their bread. Ishmael's (the name of the gorilla) teachings turn toward the subject of formal education, which he argues is merely a way to keep children out of the work...

Science in My Daily Life

...Science in my daily life As the Earth completes yet another turn around it axis, the sunlight pours into my bedroom indicating it is time to wake up. In case I miss the hint, my alarm clock set, as usual, for seven o’clock will do the trick. I get up and enter the bathroom, pleasantly warm thanks to the radiator fed with hot water through a series of pipes connected to a central heating boiler. I remain a couple of extra minutes under the shower enjoying the warm water – courtesy again of my boiler -, and finally I am ready to get dressed, opting for a suit cut out of one of these new fabrics that are comfortable, warm and light all at the same time. In the kitchen, I prepare breakfast for four. I turn on the electric kettle to boil water for tea, while a jar of milk heats in the microwave. I turn on the gas oven to warm up the brioche I baked yesterday. It smells delicious and it looks even better, golden and spongy due to the work of yeast. And, while the rest of the family comes down to have breakfast, I turn on the radio to listen to the latest news around the Globe. I have been awaken for just some twenty minutes and science is all around me: the movement of planets, the electricity, the water treatment, the transformation and piping of the gas we use to cook and heat out homes, the chemistry behind new fabrics, the radio waves or the power of the small fungi we use for our pastries. Whatever I do, whatever I see, science is at the heart of everything. And the day...

Emersion of tears started to fog my eyesight but I still continued to walk. Until suddenly, tickling arms wrapped around me from behind. Another sense of déjà vu came crawling in my heart. I knew from that moment that it was him. Apparently, I was on the edge of tears but I still needed his explanation, his clarification, so I lifted my head up to prevent tears from falling and faced him without any hint of fear. “What are you?” I asked in an evident...
