The city of Genericville is home of many mosquitoes and has attracted many tourists because of the beauty within the area and new experiences one can gain from here. Unfortunately, genericville’s citizens, wildlife, and the environment are facing an issue with mosquitoes and the spread of the West Nile Virus (WNV). A proposal to remove the problem is the request of an pesticide called Malathion. With the Malathion it can eliminate approximately 90% of the mosquito population and kill the West Nile Virus. Even though the proposal to use Malathion seems like a wise choice, one must first be aware of the health risk on the humans, and the wildlife.

Court alternative is designed for young adults over the age of 18, who are first time offenders. The court focuses on young individuals who want to turn their life around for the greater good, some are still in school, with jobs, or part of their family. They do not punish the young adults, but stresses rehabilitation to keep individuals sober for a whole year. It an individual was to test positive, they would not go to jail but will pay a very small fine and return for screening.
Family Court hears matters involving children and families. The jurisdiction includes cases as: domestic relations, domestic violence, abuse/neglect, termination of parental rights, foster care approval and review, and custody/visitation. Some characteristics of family court are confidentiality, privacy.
A good example of Darwin’s theory of natural selection is the case with the aquatic salamander. This salamander has evolved from the four legged salamander that we normally see around into a salamander that fit it’s own environment. The eel-like body of the aquatic salamander is good at swimming under water. The limbs of the salamander once stuck out from the body but were taking out though-out the generations because there where not needed anymore. This gave the salamander the ability to fit into smaller places and swim much faster to protect it self without the legs. In addition, it was able to survive and reproduce throughout generations to make what we all know of as a aquatic salamander.
