Tôi đang ngồi ở sân bay đà nẵng chờ máy bay để vào TpHCM học. Tối nay, lớp học IT Management bắt đầu.

My former professors perceive me to be an outgoing person with a vision and a low tolerance for incompetence. They often refer to me as a natural leader. Some of my concerns were getting back into studying and test-taking mode, which doesn't always come naturally after some time away from it. I’m fully aware that attending work and taking classes at the same time can be a heavy...

Degree or Not

...Writing an Argument Latasha Randle MGT/521 February 6, 2012 Dr. Marie J. Abram Writing an Argument A Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is a post graduate degree which focuses on Business Communication. The program focuses on providing its attendees with business knowledge, leadership abilities, networking opportunities, and career advancement. Although the intent of the program is understood, one must weigh the advantages and disadvantages when determining if pursuing an MBA is the right choice. Oftentimes, obtaining a degree is only seen in a positive light. However, there can be some hidden negative impacts to seeking a MBA. There are several factors I personally had to consider when deciding to enroll in an MBA program. The MBA program is recognized as the most sought-after postgraduate degree program (VanderMey, 2011). According to the Graduate Management Admission Council, the average starting salary ranges from $61,000 to $78,000 annually for recent MBA graduates (VanderMey, 2011). The thought of obtaining a highly sought-after degree and the earning potential were my first true reasons for desiring to be in the MBA program. On the contrary, the job market is currently in a downward spiral. This means that with an MBA degree, there is a likelihood of remaining underemployed or unemployed. According to recent statistics, college graduates are facing the highest unemployment rates in more than two decades (VanderMey, 2011). Another objection to earning...

My decision to pursue my MBA I decided to pursue my Master’s Degree with University of Phoenix because I wanted to achieve another business degree before taking the next steps toward opening my own childcare center. Opening up my own childcare center has been a dream goal since I was a teenager. Once I graduate with my Master’s Degree there is a lady I know who already operates two Goddard School Franchises. Ms. Karen told me that when I am ready to take the first steps, such as finding a place, and getting a loan that she will be there to help guide me in the right direction such as giving me the first $25,000 as a down payment. After I do find a place, I plan on starting with infants and toddlers, this way I am able to get my name recognized around the city as a childcare center owner within my community where I live. Pros and Cons of getting my MBA As stated by Clouse, (2006, p. 433-434), “In argumentation, the writer offers evidence to support a claim about an issue. Advantages and Disadvantages of Pursing an Mba

...Advantages and Disadvantages of Pursuing an MBA Advantages and Disadvantages of Pursing an MBA The decision to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration is a difficult, personal decision. In fact, I categorize it as a life changing decision. For instance, this decision is like most major decisions people make. Whether the decision is over buying a home, changing careers, starting a family or buying that dream car, it is usually laced with advantages and disadvantages, pros and cons, and benefits and consequences. Whether or not those advantages and disadvantages are tangible, quantifiable and measurable, most would agree that they exist and they sometimes have life changing affects. For example, some people think that it is a disadvantage to buy a home because it usually results in one securing a long-term loan whereby a monetary commitment is required from the borrower or homeowner. If this commitment is broken or one is unable to pay as agreed, the borrower or homeowner can lose valuable assets, seriously hinder their ability to borrow money in the future and be looked upon by the banking and financial community as a liability or risk. On the other hand, or some of the advantages of buying a home may result in credit worthiness, proves that you are trustworthy, disciplined and according to Weintrub (2010), “gives one a sense of pride in ownership, stability and security” (para. 2.). With the above mention in mind, I will explore my personal advantages and disadvantages...

Statement of Purpose Essay

...Obtaining an MBA requires a certain level of motivation, determination, intellect and a strong will of power to succeed. As an individual who has consistently proven myself to possess these traits, I firmly believe that I have the ability necessary to execute the obstacles accompanying the degree of a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). With a unique and diverse background in both my professional and personal life, my experiences have led me to pursue a career in business that encompasses several small and large scale goals. Upon graduating from the University of Massachusetts- Boston with a bachelors degree in Biology, I was fortunate enough to work in the biotechnology industry under two different companies. During my time at these companies I became heavily involved with several colleagues whom have taught me a tremendous wealth of knowledge I carry around wherever I go. I came to greatly respect these individuals as they have helped shape my professional career by serving as a support system. These people all had one specific common denominator. They had all obtained graduate degrees ranging from MBA to PhD as well as MD. These colleagues of mine were absolutely experts in their fields and it is attributed to the fact that they studied a subject they had been deeply passionate about in graduate school. I would love to emulate what these great minds have done by attending graduate school so that I too am able to become an expert in the field of business. Graduate...

Going forward, a Master’s in Business Administration usually requires one to two years of additional full-time study after a bachelor’s degree. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics management professions are expected to thrust by the thriving economy and business advancements. Thus, this is the main reason that I decided to obtain my Master’s in Business Administration. After obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in June 2012 I decided to go forward with my educational goals. My goal is to get into the field of administrative services. Administrative services managers support the services of an organization. I am currently in the cosmetology industry and plan to stay within this industry. As an administrative service manager my function would be to coordinate supportive services of an organization, plan, preferably in a respected salon chain, and lead the activity within that organization. “Employment of administrative services managers is expected to grow 15 percent from 2010 to 2020, about as fast as the average for all occupations” (Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, 2011). The inspiration for my decision is that possessing a higher degree often incurs higher wages. However...

Mba in Marketing

...might pursue a graduate degree, there are also several common reasons people seek out higher degree programs. After working over the years, I decided to pursue MBA because I realized that by completing my MBA, I will have a better career opportunity especially in this challenging and competitive job market. Many employers like to see or even require Masters / MBA on resume and even they set a bar in job advertisements. Going to graduate school not only will help me to find a better job but it will expand my understanding and learn new information that can increase my skills and knowledge. Besides securing a better job prospect, the other reason for me to do MBA is my personal gratification and determination. On the other hand, some people do not agree that MBA could be a paramount of a career prospect, as people feel that its time consuming and need 100% commitment to go back to study life after relatively many years in real world. Also, some feel its quite intimidating to back to school . In this day and age of rapid economic and technological developments, and regulatory changes, planning anything for more than 3 years is fraught with danger. It is very likely that your idea of 'tomorrow' will change before 'tomorrow' actually arrives, hence your focus should be on immediate to mid foreseeable future. In my opinion anything more than a 5 year plan should be strictly at a very high level (philosophical) in nature. For example don't aim at becoming a CFO, rather target...

Statement of Purpose

...Statement of Purpose - MBA 1.  Studying for an MBA requires a certain determination and strength of character. In recent years, the business world has become rapidly integrated across once restricting borders, and anyone with high goals in the business world must have an international perspective and be aware of the realities of different international arenas. I am unique, and uniquely fortunate, to have a diverse background both academically and professionally which has exposed me to different continents, peoples, cultures, and languages. As a native of Asia, I am familiar with the increasingly important markets of this region, and as such I am thoroughly prepared for the demands and challenges presented by undertaking study in the MBA program at your institution.   From a young age, I set goals beyond those of my peers. I decided to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in International Hotel Management, but in recognition of the limitation of programs in this field in my native country, I decided to pursue my undergraduate degree in Europe. The international hotel management course I joined was run by Goodwell University in the UK, and due to the experience of the instructors and the overall sophistication of the program, I received an incredibly valuable learning experience, beyond that which I could have received elsewhere. My undergraduate coursework at Goodwell University focused on management marketing, accounting, and various aspects of tourism. I received broad business-based...

...My life’s direction and purpose has not always been clear, but more of a muddled path with multiple turns, bumps, and progress along the way. Pursuing higher education and continuously developing new skill sets have always been personal objectives for me. I have learned through my life lessons the basic value of self-improvement. An MBA would enhance my capability to independently assess multiple situations, develop a rational plan and execute the plan. Obtaining an MBA will present new opportunities for me to figure out where I want to work and study. My success in life will be enhanced when I complete an MBA and pursue a new professional career path. As an undergraduate student, I majored in biochemistry. I believed having a scientific background would give me the skill set to lead me wherever I wanted to go in life. However, by the time I entered my junior year I was in serious doubt regarding my degree decision and my passion for biochemistry. After discussing my options with my parents, we came to an agreement that I would finish my degree because it would give me a solid foundation with a technical education. The biochemistry curriculum exposes participants to high levels of proficiency in math, logic, and problem solving. Additionally, the curriculum promotes the development to work independently and think creatively about potential solutions. I finished my degree but continued to feel very sceptical about pursuing higher education because I wanted to make sure I chose...
