“My Short-lived Career as a Teenaged Female Wrestler” was an article by Megan Koester, It was about this teenager who wasn’t athletic, but still went out for the wrestling team. She agreed to got to championships and lost every single match there, You can make it a bit more interesting by just adding more detail, build up, and more to the ending. The story has a good base to it but, it can be better by implementing the stuff listed above.
One thing the article was missing was enough detail to really explain her story. If maybe she had the name of her friends and what was their take on the entire situation. In the story, the only people really explained was her father and some of her competitors. But, after that it goes to her joining wrestling. The story doesn’t explain what anyone else thought about her joining wrestling. The story just cuts to her wanting to join to her training for finals, there is no build up to the story at all. It doesn’t explain almost anything really, the audience gets no explanation of other people's reactions. It just cuts place to place in her training, leaving the audience wondering how long she was even in her school's wrestling team.
The last point to make is, there is no ending. She ends the story with her losing two games in a row and then that’s it, she needed to explain what that meant for more than just her. What medals did your entire team get? But, the audience didn’t even know if they had a team in finals or if it was just her. The non-existent ending doesn’t explain what the medal record was for getting medals in her school, were they a very sports focused school or more academically focused. No explanation was given to explain these points and this is probably one of the weakest part of the
