...My Personal Strengths and Weaknesses GEN 195 September 24, 2013 Louise Gerdes My Personal Strength and Weaknesses The most common thing employees will ask a potential employee in an interview is “What are some of your common strengths and weaknesses?” I despise this question simply because thinking about my strengths and weaknesses is not something I randomly stop and think about too often. However, that challenge was brought up in my GEN 195 class at the University of Phoenix. The only difference was that I was provided the proper resources/surveys to help me accurately recognize what some of my strengths and some of my weaknesses are. It ultimately came down to that even though my strength is organization, I struggle with writing and procrastination, so I will have to develop a set of skills in order to advance in these two areas. In order to succeed in my college career and take the next step toward my career choice of criminal justice, I know I will have to work on one of my weaknesses, which is writing. I know that writing is stressed to be important in my career choice, so taking a workshop to improve my writing skills will help me in the future. Nevertheless, I know that my academic writing will differ from the writing I will be expected to do in my career choice, so it would help me significantly if I took the time to re-read Chapter 10 and Chapter 11 of Your College Experience: Strategies of Success. I can both improve my chances of...

...As described earlier in the introduction part, I have recalled different courses of negotiation in my life from which I have tried to figure out my weaknesses and strengths. Before the negotiation course, I could only realize some of my capacity and limits, for example I might be good at emotional control and bad at active listening. I believed they were not all the weaknesses and strengths that I should realize. In addition, I found it hard to hone my strengths and improve my weaknesses because (i) I did not see negotiation in systematic viewpoint (ii) I have not had enough negotiation experiences. Thankfully, this course has shed the new light on the wide scope of negotiations and how they should be conducted. From this course, I am able to see more dimensions of negotiations and subsequently, better figure out my weaknesses and strengths. As a result, I could find a more effective way to develop my negotiation skills. During...

...do it. This paper will examine my approach to achieving success in the future based on the Intentional Change Theory and how I will improve upon my strengths and weaknesses to better my career goals. Richard Boyatzis, a professor at Case Western Reserve University, developed the Intentional Change Theory as part of his work on individual and organizational change. According to Boyatzis (2006), the Intentional Change Theory “describes the essential components and process of desirable, sustainable change in one’s behavior, thoughts, feelings, and perceptions” (p. 609, 610). There are five steps to this theory in which I think that I could potentially have success. Change is never easy, but is necessary to improve upon your career if you have discovered that you have weaknesses and also to improve upon your strengths also. But, if you are not prepared to change, this will not come easy. Because I am willing to make this transformation, I think that I will be fruitful in my attempt. The first step is to discover your ideal self. Most times, there is a difference in where we are in life and where we would eventually like to be. This is where the intentional change comes into play. We must first figure out our goals, both long and short term and what we need to do to change to get to that point. The next step is to discover your real self. I took the WPI Career Transition Report to find out exactly what my strengths and weaknesses are and what their suggestions...

...sociability, agreeableness and sensitivity, I would compare my strengths and weaknesses with these five domains. Openness and problem solving Differences in the degree of openness follow from the degree of variety people and value and their different ways of viewing the world. I am an implementer rather than an innovator. Strength: I often feel happy working within my company, adapting what problems are and focusing on doing things better. I always take a hands-on approach to get things done and work well with routine. My ideas are usually well-suited and turned into workable ways or policies. I am willing to have changes. Weaknesses: I am not curious enough to think and play with new ideas, and not always present innovative possibilities. The one who is good at coming up with new ideas in connection with an overall picture is seldom me. Organization and priorities Another key difference concerns the value placed on organization versus spontaneity. I am an organizers rather than a spontaneous people. Strength: I value task completion highly and like order. I always prepare things ahead of time. I am highly focused, self-disciplined, well-organized, tidy, well-planning and often have a will to achieve. I remind myself time-to-time to work constantly to achieve company goals and target to the company mission. ...Strengths and Weaknesses Essay A person’s strengths and weaknesses reflect their overall character and ability to lead. When looking at my character, it is important to consider all of my qualities, whether they are good or bad. For example, I consider leadership to be a large part of my personal identity. Since leadership is one of my most important characteristics, many of my strengths derive from it. My strengths are important to consider in my overall personality and the way I relate to other people. An important strength in my character is my ability to work hard and stay focused in a distracting environment. It is easy for me to accomplish tasks while others may try to distract me. For example, in class, I am able to get all my work done on time without being sidetracked. I am also very organized. This helps me to get things done faster and more efficiently. Organization is very important in the workplace and I have an advantage because of it. My ability to lead others is important as well. I can be a role model to those around me by exerting leadership qualities such as direction and responsibility. I am also very dependable and reliable. When working in teams, others can count on me to do my fair share of the work and not let them down. Even though I have many strengths, I also have weaknesses as well. My weaknesses hinder my abilities and are flaws in my personality, which could complicate my relationships with others. One of my weaknesses...

...I have found new strengths, also I have learned that I have many weaknesses still. I know that with a good plan of action even the most challenging topics can become easier. I have many strengths and weaknesses but I also have a plan of action to help with both. I have much strength when it comes to English and I have learned that I have developed a few more. I have gotten much better with comma splices and run-on sentences. As well as getting better with identifying fragments and preventing them I have learned to recognize my most common grammatical errors and prevent them. There are many things that this class has helped me work on. Even though I have learned many things in this class I have also discovered I still have many weaknesses. One of my greatest weaknesses is that I have trouble prewriting and getting my ideas from my mind down on paper. I also have trouble with sentence variety; I either use to many of the same kind of sentence or I try to use too many complex sentences and it doesn’t flow very well. The one thing that I have the most trouble with is writing out a good thesis. I am still using the same thesis formula that I learned in middle school. There are many things that I still have to work on. I have developed what in my opinion is a good plan of action to help me work on my weaknesses and bolster my strengths. If I keep working on my strengths I should only get better with the run-ons and comma splices, and if I practice my weaknesses I should eventually...

The competencies that are essential to conducting strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threat analysis are external and internal analysis The External Analysis examines opportunities and threats that exist in the environment. Both opportunities and threats exist independently in a company. The way to differentiate between a strength and weakness from an opportunity or threat is to ask: Would this issue exist if the company did not exist? If the answer is yes, it should be considered external to the firm. Opportunities refer to favorable conditions in the environment that could produce rewards for the organization if acted upon properly. ...English102, I have reviewed both my strengths and weaknesses. By reviewing both my strengths and weaknesses has helped me a lot to realize what I have improved, and what I still need to work on to improve. My two major strengths I have acquired during this semester are being abele to do my homework on time, and acquired the ability of outlining in order to control my idea through logically formulated outlines. What I need to work on to improve is class participation. I have improved my homework doing habit dramatically during this English 102 course. Doing homework has always been a complicated task for me before I attended this class. Since other English classes I took before were a full semester schedule, I used to come class with out doing my homework. Finally, when I registered in this accelerated and fast paced class, I realized that I had to do all my homework before I go class to follow my professor lecture very well. Now, I am able to understand what the professor teaches about. This helped me to follow the professor attentively during the lecture. Doing my homework in time is the most powerful thing I acquired during this course of semester. The second strength that I have improved a lot is my outlining ability to stick to my central idea. Before this class, I wrote a couple of paragraphs and essays on other English classes. However, I usually used to deviate from the main idea of my paper while I write. Then, I started to explore what makes my paper ineffective. Finally...
