Title Should Appear Here The purpose of this essay is to examine and assess my learning style inventory. Using specific inventories, I would then seek out to measure my learning capabilities and provide my personal opinion on each one. I would also look into existing themes and determine whether this applies to my case or not.
(unnecessary space) One of the main reasons for taking a learning style inventory is to determine my ability to identify how I specifically acquire information. This is connected to my overall objective of pursuing a College degree. Arguably, my participation to in a college/university remains to be essential because it can complement my professional goals and objectives. Likewise, my exposure to College allows the cultivation of skills that would complement my chosen field of expertise. In addition, the academic environment also provides opportunities to establish relationships with peers and develop connections with other people.
(unnecessary space) Recognizing my goals in College, I realized the need for understanding my specific learning style. In particular, I chose the Center for New Discoveries in Learning (2012) and the ‘"Index of Learning Styles’" by Felder and Soloman (n.d.). Based from the two outcomes of my assessments, each one provides that I belong to the category of a visual learner. For example, The Center for New Discoveries in Learning (2012) provides that “Visual learners tend to be neat and organized and their learning style preference tends to most closely match most educational and company working environments” (para. 1). Arguably, I have the same result with Felder and Soloman. Specifically, the results indicated that I have a high score with visual learning. This means that I continue to visualize information and rely heavily on the use of maps, charts and illustrations (Felder and & Soloman, n.d.). Similarly, I also saw that in Felder and Soloman’s assessment that I have a relatively balanced results on areas such as sensing and intuition, sequential and global and active and reflective learning. Assessing the information presented, I do agree with the two learning style inventory inventories used. This is because this is the manner that I acquire and learn information. I tend to rely more on the visual component rather than the verbal. Growing up, I was exposed to seeing things and learning from them. In addition, my exposure to media such as television and internet continue to influence how I respond and address related information. Based from the analysis provided by each assessment, I specifically belong to the majority of learners that rely on visual representation to absorb information (The Center for New Discoveries and Learning, 2012).
(unnecessary space) Overall, this essay has brought forward the reason for taking up a learning style inventory. It gives connection to existing goals and objectives for taking up College education and familiarization with my specific learning style. Taking into account the information presented by Felder and Soloman as well as The Center for New Discoveries in Learning, I was able to recognize my capacity as a visual learner. It also allowed the determination of how I perceive these learning styles and connect these to my personality and identity.

...My learning style When I first started to revise and learn for my learning style, I did two questionnaires called honey and Mumford and the preferred learning style. The first questionnaire I did was the honey and mumford questionaairs which was made up of 80 questions and for each statement there was a tick box to determine which one best suited my personality. After completing the 80 questions I added up which questions I ticked into a table. Depending on how many I ticked detrmined what sort of leanrer I was.
