I am writing to you regarding my request for reconsideration into the St. James Chapter of the National Honors Society.
I was saddened by my rejection into NHS last year, so I wanted to make a change. Since then, I have been striving to achieve both academic and behavioral excellence, and I believe that I am even more of a well-suited applicant than I was last year. I would like to apologize for my submission towards the end of the deadline, but I did feel that this was necessary. This is because I wanted to take the semester to show my teachers and peers the growth and maturity I have gone through over the past year. If I were to have reapplied too early, I feel I would not have had a chance to prove my transformation. I know that if I am

...Term Paper Foreign Trade Management & General Report on Janata Bank Limited Submitted to : Lecturer Habibullah Bahar College Submitted by : Arifin Ahmed Shuvo Honors 2nd Year Session : 2009-2010 Roll no : 9615167 Registration no : 1649908 Department of Management Habibullah Bahar College, Dhaka. Submission Date : 25th March, 2013 1.1 Introduction of the Study The primary purpose of this report is to get an idea about the operations of Janata Bank Limited, a second-generation bank of the country and make an industry analysis on the banking sector of Bangladesh. Banks are profit – earning concern. The ‘word “Bank” refers to the financial institution deals with money transaction. Banks collect deposits at the lowest possible cost and provide loans and advances at higher cost. The difference between two is the profit for the bank. Commercial banks are the primary contributors to the country. The revenue earning sources of banks are mainly loans and advances. The credit facility can be of two types: funded and non-funded. Funded credit can be expensive for the banks, as the bank has to pay interests. Non-funded credit includes Letter of Credit, which is the main source of income for the foreign exchange business. If a bank can increase its import and export transactions, its profit will obviously reach a higher level, as the costs are negligible. This report is an attempt to reflect the position of Janata Bank Limited...

Union War

...The Union War “Without an appreciation of why loyal citizens believed a Union that guaranteed democratic self-government was worth great sacrifice, no accurate understanding of the Civil War era was possible” (Gallagher). I agree with this statement by Gallagher because if it wasn’t for the decisions and executions of the Union I am not sure if I would be living in a democratic, free society today. In The Union War, Gallagher “offers a companion volume that extends his manifesto against hindsight, what Gallagher calls the ‘Appomattox syndrome,’ to histories of the Union” (Gallagher, 79). According to Gallagher, researchers who work backward from emancipation and Reconstruction have expanded northern devotion to race, slavery, and abolition while complicating loyal Americans’ major war aim, the Union. The above quote stated by Gary Gallagher is one of the main causes as to why the North won the Civil War because with the joining of citizens who wanted to fight for their democratic government, it gave the Union more soldiers that wanted to fight than the Confederates. They won the Civil War simply because they had more people. The North won the Civil War they were on the right side of human ethical issues. They had their best interest in helping the morals of humans and this alone helps citizens be able to trust the Union’s tendencies and this can also make a citizen loyal. The North clearly had more men to fight for them and there were more people that wanted to end slavery,...

During the preparation of this report I have received generous help from many individuals which I would like to mention with my deepest gratitude. First of all, I must take this opportunity to thank “Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited” for giving me the opportunity to complete my internship program in their organization. It was really a great opportunity to work on this topic, and which is really an important and exceptional report. I tried to dedicate my best trying and resources. But “Too Error is Human”, I am not exception to this, I have some limitations, also. My ultimate constraint was time, I invested beyond this report. If I could give more times, I could make it better in the point of view of doing “Discovery of Information”, “Recommendation” etc. Al last, I just want to say that I tried my best to make it realistic. I am extremely sorry for my limitations and constraints that had impact in making the “Internship Report” efficient and effective. [pic] |Topics ...

Prepared under the supervision of Dr. Jennypher N. Fenomeno. INTRODUCTION Informal types of cooperatives are as old as human history. Whenever people come together voluntarily to help one another by providing a group service, they actually had a simple form of cooperative. But the cooperative movement as we know it today had its beginnings in Europe during the modern times as a result of the Industrial Revolution. In several European countries, the first cooperatives were organized by workingman who were seeking to change the wretched conditions brought about by the new age of machine and factory production that began in England two hundred years ago, and soon after in other countries. In England, the weavers and the other workers in the textile industry were the hardest hit, and they were among the first to organize cooperatives for the purpose of improving their desperate economic and social conditions (San Gabriel, 2010).
