Nederlands samenvatting cursus spellen.

Hoofdstuk 1 - Werkwoordspelling
§1 - Persoonsvorm

Tegenwoordige tijd:

- juichde of juichte?

§2 - Overige werkwoordsvormen

Hoofdstuk 2 - Overige spellingregels

§4 - Tussenklank in samengestelde woorden: -s of -e(n)?

Tussen-s:
Schrijf de tussen-s als je hem hoort: stationsklok, kloksmuts.
Als het tweede deel van de samenstelling met een s-klank begint, is de tussen-s lastig te horen. Vervang dan het tweede deel en schrijf de -s als je hem in vergelijkbare samenstellingen hoort.
- personeelschef, want; personeelsfeest
- dorpsstraat, want: dorpshuis

Tussen-e of tussen-en:
Schrijf in een samenstelling de tussen-en als het eerste woord een zelfstandig naamwoord is dat alleen een meervoud op -en heeft (en niet ook nog op -s!).
- braam - bramen, dus bramenjam

In de volgende gevallen een tussen-e:
Als het eerste deel alleen een meervoud op -s heeft;
Als het eerste deel twee meervouden heeft, op -s en -en;
Als het eerste deel geen meervoud heeft;
Als het eerste deel verwijst naar een uniek exemplaar;
Als het eerste deel een bijvoeglijk naamwoord versterkt;
Als het eerste deel geen zelfstandig naamwoord is;
Als het woord niet meer als een samenstelling gezien wordt.

§5 - Verkleinwoorden

Korte klanken worden in het verkleinwoord soms lang. Let op: bij woorden die op een klinker eindigen: pyjamaatje, cafeetje, radiootje, parapluutje, skietje, baby’tje.
Afkortingen krijgen een apostrof.

§6 - Aan elkaar of los

Schrijf de volgende woorden aan elkaar:
Samenstellingen van 2 of 3 woorden;
Getallen tot honderd (in letters) en samenstellingen met honderd en duizend;
Voornaamwoordelijke bijwoorden (bestaan uit er, hier, daar. waar + voorzetsel)

§7 - Liggend streepje

In combinaties van titels en beroepen;
Bij aardrijkskundige namen, of woorden die daarvan afgeleid zijn;
Bij letters, cijfers, andere tekens en St of Sint;
In woorden die anders onoverzichtelijk worden.

Weglatingsteken

§9 - Apostrof

Gebruik de apostrof:
Op de plaats van een weggelaten letter;
Op de plaats van een weggelaten bezit-s;
Om uitspraakproblemen te voorkomen;
In afleidingen van letter- en cijferwoorden;
Bij verkleinwoorden op -y.

§10 - Accenten

Er zijn drie accenttekens: het accent aigu (é), het accent grave (è) en het accent circonflexe (ê). Accenttekens komen eigenlijk alleen voor op de letter e.
De cedille onderaan de c (ç) zorgt ervoor dat een c als s klinkt, wanneer die voor een a, o of u staat.

§11 - Getallen
Cijfers:
Bij getallen boven de twintig, uitgezonderd de ronde getallen;

Technology

...Technology has been the biggest deal in the 21st century. Each day it improves more and more. Today, almost everything we do is affected by technology. It gives us a lot of advantages which is why we humans depend on it. However, do we depend on it too much? Technology seems to have become more of a convenience than a tool. Besides the many benefits of technology there are also a lot of arguments against it. One argument is that it has a negative effect on children. Kids are the future and if anyone should be learning the most it’s them. How could they possibly learn the most if all these technology makes everything easy for them? It’s giving them an excuse to be lazy. Calculators were created to solve hard math problems and not the simple ones. Now a day, kids can’t even do simple math problems in their head. Then there is spell check on computers. Most teachers want everything typed now, therefore students can’t really learn if spell check gives them the answer. Kids won’t be able to develop with a lot of knowledge if they always depend on technology to do the thinking for them. The United States has become lazier and lazier as we find easier ways to solve our everyday problems. Studies have shown that television and video games are main reasons for obesity. Teenagers can’t seem to go anywhere without their cell phones in their hands either. No one really goes outside anymore because of the entertainment inside. It’s good that we have these advantages but we can’t take advantage...

...survey about the influence of short message service (SMS) to the student. This language will impact on the written language skills of student at school. According to the writer, the most of influence are on their spelling, sentences length and on their punctuation. Furthermore, the educators agreed that they perceive SMS language in written language to lead to poor grades in English Home Language as a subject and may cause learners to have diminished knowledge of correct Standard English. This perceived influence can be described according to its perceived nature and degree. The nature of the perceived influence of SMS language includes the encountering of spelling adaptations that are based on the SMS language categories, shortening of sentences and incorrect punctuation use. The majority of educators encounter G-clippings and non-conventional spellings. Sentence structure and length is also perceived to be influenced as sentences are shortened and simplified. Furthermore, punctuation is also perceived to be influenced. The incorrect use of full stops, commas and exclamation marks are encountered the most in learners’ written language tasks. The perceived degree of the influence of SMS language on written tasks includes the regular occurrence of nonconventional spellings (large degree of influence). The shortening of sentences seldom occurs (small degree of influence). Full stops and commas are used incorrectly on a regular basis (large degree of influence). Whether educators view...

Minimizing Interruptions

...Minimizing Interruptions Facts: Although some interruptions are signs of involvement and interest, and other s are genuine requests for information, interruptions are rarely appreciated. When you cut others off, the speaker thinks that you don’t care about their ideas or that you believe your ideas are better than theirs. When you interrupt, you may be perceived as rude, egocentric and controlling – someone who believes that what you have to say is more important than other’s ideas. Strategies on how to cut back interrupting: Count to three after the speaker seems to be finished. Concentrate on what the speaker is saying then paraphrase it back when he/she is finished. When you catch yourself interrupting, apologize and ask the speaker to continue. Ask another co-worker to count the number of times you interrupt in a day. Opportunistic Listening Look for Main and Supporting Points Sometimes it is appropriate to ask politely for the speaker’s thesis. E.g. “I’m trying to pull together what you’ve been telling me about the problems you’ve been, having meeting your quotas. Could you summarize for me?” At other times, however, it isn’t appropriate to ask the speaker outright. “Over all, then, would you say your division is losing its market share?” Take Notes You are unlikely to remember every deadline, every comment or even every topic in a meeting...

...№ 18 [Type text] : HEADLINES by Craig Halsall Dear all, Spring Holiday IGCSE & A Level Revision Programmes An important letter has been sent home with Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 pupils. Parents will also have received a copy of the letter via email and notification of the same via my official school Twitter feed, @CRHalsall. The letter explains an opportunity that we are considering offering to pupils taking IGCSE, AS or A2 examinations this summer. The importance of effective revision in helping pupils achieve their best possible grade is well documented. Effective revision can often make the difference and help pupils achieve higher grades. We also believe that pupils find it difficult to revise at home, which can be stressful for parents too. We are therefore considering offering an intensive revision programme during the last major school holiday before the summer exams. Full details of the programme are set out in the letter. There is also a link to an online survey that will take a maximum of two minutes to complete. The purpose of the survey is to understand the level of interest in the revision programme. A large number of pupils have expressed an interest in attending the programme, but it can only run should there be sufficient demand. Please complete the online survey by Monday 2nd February to express an interest in learning more about the intensive revision programme. Key Stage 1 Open Forum The Key Stage 1 Parents’ Open Forum...

How to Spell Apple

...I would beleive that the word apple is spelled one way. But when you go to other countries the spelling changes because it is said in different words. Core Human Resource Functions" Please respond to the following: •Determine how you might reduce involuntary turnover if you were the top human resource manager. As a top human reasource manger I would reduce involuntary turnover by haveing the manager of each team send individauls with "poor job performace and/ or unethical behaviors" to a one week training where they get a second chance and motivation to do the best they can(Boone, 265). If the employee does well then they get to move to a differnt team where they get a fresh start or remain on the same team.The one week training allows employees to see a new start where they have the chance to succed again. If the employee does not do well then they will be terminated. •Recommend two ways to control compensation costs that do not decrease employee motivation or productivity. To control compensation cost that do not decrease employee motivation or productivity I would look into two methods. One would be to have monthly reviews of the team and give the team that proformed the best that month a day off. The second would be to give the team a LTE instead of a yearly bonus. The LTE would be 2/3 payment of the 1.5 years.This means that instead of getting a bonus every year you get a bonus every year and a half. The value of the bonus would be 2/3 of your yearly bonus(2/3...

Verbal Learning

...Simple Stimulus “Habituation is a decrease in response to a stimulus after repeated presentations” (Cherry, 2013). For example, the sound of a telephone ringing may initially draw your attention, but as a person becomes more accustomed to the sound he or she pays less attention to the noise and the initial response becomes less. The diminished response is habituation. When I was younger I used to work in a customer service, call center setting. I got used to the phones ringing day in and day out. It became easier for me to not react to answering the phone and almost ignore the sound of a ringing phone. Even when I was not at work, I would hardly realize that my own phone was ringing. Perceptual learning occurs when a person is repeatedly exposed to specific stimuli; in this case, it would be information (The Institute of Perceptual Learning, 2013). It involved changes to perception that can improve one’s ability to respond to the environment. Perceptual learning involves long lasting and amazing changes to the human perceptual system that incredibly improve one’s ability to respond to the environment (The Institute of Perceptual Learning, 2013). The factors that affect perceptual learning are presenting contrasting stimuli, transfer from easy to difficult stimuli, and attention and feedback. Presenting contrasting stimuli deals with presenting both positive and negative instances. The transfer from easy to difficult stimuli talks about the experiences with...

Report Advice

...m.wright@lancaster.ac.uk based on a draft by Mike Pidd November 2010 Executive Summary This document provides general advice about writing client reports. Such reports are not literary documents but are intended to convey technical information in a form that is as easy to digest as possible. It makes several specific recommendations. 1. Start with a summary of the findings, then the argument and the supporting evidence. Do not start with assumptions and then attempt to write a quasi-scientific paper. 2. Use short sentences and a simple vocabulary; you are not trying to win a literary award. 3. Style is important. So are grammar, punctuation, syntax and spelling. You want your report to look professional. 4. Learn how to use a word processor properly, so that you have a consistent and appealing layout and structure in the report. 5. Place technical material in an appendix and make sure that the main text refers to it in a sensible way. 6. Use diagrams and figures when appropriate, since they can save many words. They must be readable, clear and properly labelled. 7. Always number the pages and sections to make it easy to refer to them in the report and in discussions. 8. Ask someone else to read the report before you issue it – and listen to what they say! Contents Page Executive Summary 2 Contents 3 1. Introduction 4 2....

10 Tips for Professional Writing

...1.       Be mindful of the three: language, spellings and grammar, and format. 2.       Write simple, short sentences that you can manage to write without grammatical errors. As a thumb rule, if your sentence runs into the third line in MS Word, it is long and perhaps confounding. 3.       Do run proper spell check before submitting any document to anyone. It is unprofessional and rather rude to submit documents with spellings mistakes. The reader will immediately lose confidence in your professional capabilities. 4.       Maintain proper formatting requirements for any professional document. Typically a standard font such as Times New Roman or Arial with size 12, proper line and paragraph spacing to facilitate readability, and justified alignment (unless submitting to US people who prefer left justified) is needed. All tables, figures, lists and any other such things must have captions with proper number and title (e.g. Table 1: Names of the Companies Involved in 2G Scam). Tables shouldn’t have any vertical lines as per the APA standards. Different levels of headings in a text should follow different and consistent patterns. You may take a look at any standard journal article to better understand this point. Whenever you feel impressed by the format of a document, mark the formatting patterns. You will learn formatting quickly in this manner. 5.       A reference without citation is meaningless. Unless you clearly indicate which line or idea is borrowed, you are...

Day of School

...Every Monday a new spelling pattern is introduced in class, and students are given 5 new high frequency words to study. Before the pattern is introduced, students will take a pre-test to assess their prior knowledge of the pattern. All students will then be given 10 pattern words to study at home. Students who score a 90% or better on the practice test will be given more challenging words (that follow the same pattern) for their study list. On this day a word study packet will also come home that explains the new spelling pattern and describes the related homework activities. Students have all week to work on the assignments in the packet and are asked to return it to school on the following Friday, the day of the weekly test. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: In school, students will rotate though a variety of word study centers that will help them practice both the pattern-based spelling words and their assigned high frequency words. At home, students should spend some time each night working on the assignments in their weekly word study packet. Friday: The weekly spelling test will always be on Friday. This is also the day that the weekly word study packet homework packet is to be returned to school. After students take the spelling test in class, the corrected test will be returned to students so that they can record any words that they spelled wrong in their word study notebook. Every so often, students will have a week where their entire spelling list will be made...
