The product is basically a system that allows the consumer to produce a fresh cup of espresso coffee at home. Though simple in appearance and use, it took Nestle more than 10 years to develop it. ´ The system consists of two parts: a coffee capsule and a machine. The coffee capsule is hermetically sealed in aluminum and contains 5 g of roast and ground coffee. The machine consists of four parts — a handle, a water container, a pump and an electrical heating system. These four parts are cast into a body and form the machine. The use of the Nespresso system is straightforward. The coffee capsule is placed in the handle which is then inserted into the machine.
