When referring to in-band or out-of-band it can be explained as simple as either sitting in the flow of network traffic or out of the flow. The differences between these two can be explained by their impact on performance, security, and manageability on a network.
An in-band network management has to do with managing devices through common protocols. For example, telnet or SSH and the using of the network itself as a media. This is a way to provide identity based access controls, which will provide a better security. The segregation of management traffic is also a good practice, from production customer traffic. This helps in case your network is congested due to real user traffic. It offers you the ability to login into your devices to address the issue. The con here with in-band management is when your network is down or badly degraded, it will be little help. An out-of-band network management is an alternative means to accessing remote devices. An example in which this is handy to have both networks, would be in the case that the in-band network is down or terribly congested. The out-of-band network management can communicate with devices right through its console, without having the administrator having to go to the data center to correct the in-band network management situation. Each of these, out-of-band and in-band network management, have pros and drawbacks. The in-band management is often referred to as a fitting and a cheap way to obtain your system. The out-of-band management is often thought of as the more expensive way to access your network. But the good thing about out-of-band management is that you are able to diagnose problems even when your data network is not working properly.
To have a combination of the in-band and out-of-band management there are a lot of pros to this. For example, your organization can increase its availability, quality, and security. Also with this combination it provides comprehensive monitoring and reports on all the devices across the network, which is through local and/or remote connections.

This has a continuous malware detection. There is no visibility into traffic. The in-band provides constant detection and prevention.
Provides constant monitoring and visibility. No visibility into users traffic. In-band provides a basic feature of a constant role based monitoring and visibility.
Shields all users from each other, using firewall approach Non-compliant users are placed in a common quarantine VLAN In-band protects clients from each other, from vulnerabilities and infected ones.
No hidden cost with deployment or reconfiguration. Most expense goes to controllers and devices. In-band costs are overall lower than out-of-band.

There are different types of protocols for in-band and out-of-band network management:
• Virtual Terminal Protocol – The description of this is that it is a software program. An example would be telnet and that it runs over TCP/IP.
• Simple Network Management Protocol – A standard management protocol for multiple vendor IP networks. SNMP runs on top of a UDP, which offers a connectionless mode service.
Business Intelligence has a role and that role consist of a creation of information in an environment where operational data is collected. The collection of data should help organizations answer the prime business issues and act located on real-time data. This will help in the decision making, the capabilities and needs of data processing. Some of the BI systems have the benefits of accessing data in common format, from multiple sources. There is not just one type of Business Intelligence, there are two. The first type is traditional business intelligence which uses tables and graphs to track performances of the past. This one is also used to predict future performances based on the past. The second type is operational business intelligence. This BI is used to give results immediately by providing the data to users that is needed. This type deals with operational data and can supply data in a small amount of time especially if changes are needed immediately.
Enterprise systems support business processes, information flows, and data analysis in organizations. It has combinations of computer hardware and software that helps businesses/organizations use to run their operations. The business intelligence and enterprise system are linked together by varies types of business processes and the way a business wants to prosper and expand.
