BLM COMMUNICATIONS Consultants was established and registered in the United States as a professional consultancy entity in the field of Information Communication and Technology.

BLM COMMUNICATIONS specialty is in providing reliable, cost-effective wireless communications for Internet and Intranet purposes and cyber-physical systems safety, to both residential and corporate users. We have wireless coverage via a series of base stations across various States in the United States, fully owned and operated by us. BLM COMMUNICATIONS supports organizations in streamlining their networking and cyber-physical systems and programs whatever the format-internet, intranet, paper or electronic to enhance professionalism aimed at achieving efficiency and economy in line with the organizations aims, objectives and strategy.

SECTION 11: OUR UNDERSTANDING OF ABC ACCOUNTING INC. REQUIREMENTS

ABC Accounting Inc. through their ICT department has requested us to provide a quotation for internet and electronic document management Systems (EDMS) services.

The quotation covers three main areas of namely networking topology, IP infrastructure and Security.

SECTION 111: OUR PROPOSAL We propose to provide and install a comprehensive enterprise-wide solution for networking topology, network devices, IP infrastructure, and network security innovative safety procedures and measures for implementation to provide safer environments for networking and electronic document management software. The solution outline will be as herein under

3.1. Topology and Network Devices

We shall engage the client to gain an in-depth understanding of the internet needs including specific areas of focus. This will then feed into the design of the service and installation outlines.

Service Outline • The bandwidth is dedicated and capacity is protected i.e. there is backup from both the TEAMS and SEACOM undersea fiber cables to eliminate downtime. • The installation fee entails installing a radio on your rooftop facing one of our base stations and running a cable to your premises. The installation fee does not include a WiFi router but we can supply and configure one for you at an additional $50. • Delivery is via wireless signal over our own network covering Nairobi and its environs, which gives you exceedingly high uptimes of 99.8%

3.2. IP Infrastructure Internet Protocol (IP0 refers to the main communication protocol in any given internet protocol suite and relay data across the company network boundaries. The importance of IP infrastructure is that its routing function allows for internetworking as well as the establishment of the internet.

The IP suite that suit ABC will be divided into three parts. The first part is the Application layer and consists of DHC, NGCP, BGP, FTP, HTTP, IMAP, RTST, SMPT, RIP, NNTP, LDAP, SNMP, SSH, among others

Data Warehouse

Another crucial part of the IP is the use of Database or data warehouse. ABC is a growing entity and thus, is in need of a corporate Data warehouse for supporting the managerial decision-making. BLM COMMUNICATIONS will provide the Knowledge-driven DSS in recommending actions to managers on personal-computer systems, thus attributed to the expertise in problem-solving. The contents of expertise include knowledge in specific domain, domain difficulties, and skill in solution to some of these issues; as well as Document driven DSS for integration of different processing and storage technologies, thus, provide complete document analysis and retrieval. The Web provides access to an inclusive of large document databases and databases of hypertext documents, video sounds, and images. Through the search engine which is a powerful decision-aiding tool and that has association with DSS types such as Communication driven and group DSS as well as communication-driven DSS including communication, coordination and collaboration and GDSS, analysis of challenging situations and group decision making gets support (2012).

3.3 Security

We understand that ABC wants to make your company a secure facility to protect against internal and

external security threats. Security of the entity will be in two ways, one is external security which involves implementation of sensors and wireless networks and the second security aspect is the cyber-physical systems safety to protect against the loss of company information.

Wireless Networks and Sensors

The wireless networks and sensors will reduce the biological effect as a result of the interaction between the electromagnetic fields of the RF and the biological entities. When electromagnetic fields come into contact with biologically activates, it may result into injuries given the harmful reactions would take place.

The implementation of the sensor networks reduces the risk of the running out of the main source of energy. The introduction of other sources of energy to provide electrical power techniques enhances the working of the WSNs. Alternative sources of energy would help in avoidance of the shortcomings of the battery usage.

Cyber-physical Safety

Cyber-physical systems refer to new generational systems with physical capability of manipulating crucial infrastructures pivotal for the well-being of humanity. ABC should install the Electronic document management systems specifically Globodox for purpose of protecting electronic information. Globodox is a document management application that provides with a platform to manage business information residing in four documents with a view to moving towards a paperless environment in a phased and gradual manner (Globodox2000-2012).

The application allows for quick retrieval of information, controlled access, disaster recovery, information share-ability, and preservation or organizational; knowledge. It is, therefore, an organizational knowledge repository. The application is available for window based and web based client servers (Koulopoulos& Frappaolo, 1995).

Globodox application interface is designed in a friendly manner making it easy to use since it makes it easier to manage documents in an orderly way. The staff at ABC will be trained on the working of the Globodox software and its features. These include Search Centric Design, Globodox Drive, and Information re-uses, Built-in OCR, Document Access, Active Directory Integration and Built-in Word and Excel.

The chargeable fee for the training is $783 per head. The amount is per day, and the training will take three days consecutively and is exclusive of VAT. The additional charge is $150 for breakfast and lunch.
