In When I Die, by Nikki Giovanni, the author contemplates what the world will be like once she dies. While hoping that the world becomes a better place, Giovanni also hopes that her so becomes a better man. This positive thinking is often present in our own minds when we contemplate our death. We hold on to the hope that years after we die, the world will be a better place, often not even wanting to entertain the fact that the exact opposite could be true. In the years leading up to their death, people will almost always try to make sure that they are doing everything possible, to allow their kids, family, and friends to live a prosperous life.
