...variety of atoms (e.g. carbon dioxide). A gas mixture would contain a variety of pure gases much like the air. What distinguishes a gas from liquids and solids is the vast separation of the individual gas particles. This separation usually makes a colorless gas invisible to the human observer. The interaction of gas particles in the presence of electric and gravitational fields are considered negligible as indicated by the constant velocity vectors in the image. The gaseous state of matter is found between the liquid and plasma states,[1] the latter of which provides the upper temperature boundary for gases. Bounding the lower end of the temperature scale lie degenerative quantum gases[2] which are gaining increasing attention.[3] High-density atomic gases super cooled to incredibly low temperatures are classified by their statistical behavior as either a Bose gas or a Fermi gas. ...Kenia Vargas Weekly Response Paper #2 I was really amazed by the amount of vessels that I read from the book. My favorite vessel was the “ding vessel”. This was my favorite vessel because it reminded me of a stone mortar called “mortero de piedra” in Spanish. We use this stone mortar to make a spicy salsa, so when ever I look at the ding vessel it reminds me of my own culture. It has the same structure with the four legs to support the “bowl” on the top. The ding vessel was used for cooking as well as in my culture with the stone mortar. They were also used for storage and rituals offerings to their ancestors. When this vessel was used during rituals it was a symbol of authority. If someone owed more than one of this kind of vessel they were associated with power and domination over land. The decoration has a lot of significance in this kind of vessel. For example in the most common ding vessel, the final type of decoration was the inscription. These inscriptions were used to identify the function of the vessel, the owner or they could simply be poems or even stories of why the ding was created. Another thing that amazed me was the different styles of art comparing a Japan vessel with a Korean vessel. When we discussed about those two pieces of art in class I was so interested in knowing why the styles were so similar yet different at the same time. After the discussion we had I was comparing both objects and I noticed more differences than similarities and it...

Palavras-chave: agrupamento, número telefônico, Google tradutor Abstract: This paper is concerned with the numerical grouping strategy in spoken telephone numbers in Brazilian Portuguese, in order to make available information that could improve the Google translator. To that aim, telephone numbers were extracted from a local phone book and spoken spontaneously by native speakers of Brazilian Portuguese. A segmental analysis was done with the use of Praat (Boersma & Weenink 2013, version 10.3). Results of the analysis show a grouping strategy pattern in the spoken telephone numbers and...

The entire paper should be in Times New Roman 12 font, double spaced with no extra spaces between sections, headers and text, paragraphs, etc. Go to the Home tab of Word and click on Paragraph. Under Paragraph, choose 0 under the Spacing section. Choose Double Space under Line Spacing and First Line under Special. Again, the first line of the Abstract should not be indented, but the rest of the paragraphs in the paper should be. Full Title of the Paper For this section you will need to decide on a thesis statement for the paper. This is a general statement about your topic that shows your approach and point of view. ...Managerial Accounting Introduction All businesses have certain goals and criteria in mind. It is important to be able to meet a company’s goals and needs. It is important to run at full capacity and efficient. What Are Some of the Issues the Host Foreign Country Could Face As A Result of the Expansion? Businesses have precise objectives and goals. Many businesses have vision and mission statement that incorporates their goals. It doesn’t matter the type business, nonprofit or profit. The goals can be to serve specific constituents or to get the best out of the owner’s goals. The business goals create a need for information. The business gathers past and future information from internal and external sources. This data is used by the managers with authority over the company’s resources. What Cultural Barriers and Diversity Issues Are Commonly Encountered By International/Multinational (MNC) and Global Organizations? The information used by management is created for planning and control decisions. The process used to create accounting reports influences management strategy, and the structure of those reports significantly impact management strategy. There should be certain characteristics in these reports: •Importance of Timeliness -- The competitive environment demands immediate access to information, so timeliness is essential. •Identity of Decision Maker – Information should be given to the decision makers. •Oriented toward the Future -- Management should make objective...

...nnnn ENG 101 10 September 333 How to Configure Windows Startup Computers are not meant for everyone, and the programs associated with them just seem to overcomplicate the whole process. Configuring Windows programming can be a mind boggling task that requires time and some basic computer knowledge. To successfully configure Windows, I am going to walk you through the process so that you can experience the most out of your computer. Connecting the Computer- Once the computer is put in the correct place, it can be connected together. First of all, connect the monitor to the PC. The monitor cable comes from the monitor and has a male plug on the end shaped like a trapezoid with two screws on either side. This is plugged into a trapezoid shaped port on the rear of the PC denoted by a small graphic of a screen. The screws are then turned to achieve a tight fit. Next to be plugged in is the keyboard. The keyboard cable has a pink semi-circle shaped male plug, which plugs into the pink port at the back of the computer, which has a small keyboard graphic next to it. The same goes for the mouse, except this has a green plug and port. The printer cable also has a male trapezoid shaped plug with screws on either side, but it is a lot longer than that of the monitor. It is similarly pushed into the corresponding trapezoid port with the printer...
