As a child my mind wondered many things. How did parents become parents? Did children stay young forever? Can you think back when you where a child and all the questions that you asked your parents? Some of adults today may say that your child is a reflection of you when you where younger. Everything we did growing can be related to our thought process now. The decisions we made during the times when we understood also has a reflection of the person you are today. I was very young when I started pre-school. The school was made for little children so that you could start to learn the basic fundamental. Sharing, coloring, and learning the alphabetic symbols with other kids to seemed fun. I didn’t understand that I was also learning to tight my shoes along with other fundamentals that made the school fun. My sister and first cousin also attended the school with me. ...plain English, “mamaya na” in Filipino. How it Works: 1. You need to do something now. 2. But then you decide to do it later. 3. As a result of the delay, you end up not doing it. 4. Now, you tell yourself or somebody that you will do it tomorrow. 5. Tomorrow comes. The same cycle happens. A habit is a pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition. No amount of planning or preparation can change this. The only way to change a habit is to replace it with another habit. My father taught me these words when I was still young: "Do it now"…"Don’t wait till tomorrow". At that time, I didn’t see the value of that advice. It was too pushy or overbearing to hear. But then, later on I realized that it was a valuable habit that he was teaching me. Three Important Words to Remember – Do. It. Now. (1) Do. Only action can beat procrastination. Drag your feet if you have to. Starting is the only challenging part. Jump start your way into it. (2) It. Face whatever needs to be done. Don’t do anything else. There’s always an excuse that you can say. But don’t give in. (3) Now. Not later or in the future. Don’t wait for the perfect time. Even if you don’t feel like doing it. You will appreciate what you did when you reap the benefits. ‘Just do it’ is a slogan phrase that was popularized by Nike in one of their marketing campaigns. Right now it has become number two in the Top 10 Slogans of the Century. It’s a good slogan...

...middle school students should be later than it is now because it has positive effects on middle school students lives. For one thing, middle and high schoolers need to get more sleep according to npr.org. Making middle and high schoolers start classes before 8:30am threatens their life. With a later start time students can get more sleep, and be more active, and focus better in class. When students get more sleep, their health is better than someone who gets less sleep. If middle and high schoolers get more sleep they would have fewer mood changes, they would also have improved physical health. According...

...After reading "High School Starting Later to Help Sleepy Teens" and "High School Will Keep Starting Too Early. Here´s Why", I see where both authors are coming from when they wrote the text. The first one talks about Highschool starting later but on the hand, the other talks about high school starting at the same time. "High school starting later for sleepy teens", states that high school students don´t get enough sleep, causing them to sleep in class on a typical day. I can relate to that so personally I comprehend where Michelle Trudeau is going with this. In the text there are some pros located in it about high school starting later like students being less depressed and more alert in class. Along with that the drop out levels went...

...for me. A six story shot from a building at angle that “the best gun man” now can’t mimic seems more of a cover up for what was really going on. Now, I personally cannot tell you who did it because I obviously wasn’t present on the day of the assassination. To be frank I wasn’t even a thought, but I can give my input in who I believe is responsible for it, and I believe that it wasn’t a single person. With all the conspiracy theories about Mr. Kennedy’s murderer, I believe it would be okay to rule out the ones about someone poisoning a salad, or sandwich and giving it to him because that’s obviously not what happened on the day of his assassination. I mean, it could have happened earlier, not saying that anything is possible, but there’s no reliable source that we can look back to. Plus, his face didn’t explode from a chemical reaction or poison… It was more of a bullet to the face approach. But sandwich and salads aside, one of the conspiracy theories that do capture my attention with convincing evidence is the fact that the ones truly responsible for his assassination were the Mob and Lyndon B. Johnson. The single shot theory that was apparently ruled as the cause of President Kennedy’s death seems like the cover up for what really was going on. On the day of the assassination, Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested and was “allegedly” booked and printed at the Dallas police station. In a later interview filmed in the 1990s, an officer whom had been...

...1984[edit] Ten-year-old Tre Styles (Desi Arnez Hines II) lives with his single mother Reva Devereaux (Angela Bassett) in Inglewood, California. After Tre gets involved in a fight at school, his teacher calls Reva and informs her that although Tre is rather intelligent, he is immature, aggressive, and lacks respect for classmates and adults alike. Frightened about the future of her child, Reva sends him to live in the Crenshaw neighborhood of South Central with his 27-year-old father, Furious Styles (Laurence Fishburne), from whom she hopes Tre will learn valuable life lessons. On the night of Tre's arrival, he hears his father shooting at a burglar who tried to rob the house. LAPD officers arrive more than an hour later, and eventually decide the crime is unimportant because nothing was taken and the burglar escaped completely unharmed. The police, particularly the African American officer, treat Furious with disrespect and contempt. The following day, Tre reunites with childhood friends Darrin "Doughboy" Baker, Doughboy's maternal half-brother Ricky, and Chris, their mutual friend. While Ricky is naïve and trusting, Doughboy is aggressive and street-smart. The next day, Chris takes the group into another neighborhood to view the decaying corpse of a murdered gang member. A Crip gang member tricks Ricky into giving up his football, prompting Doughboy to confront him to get it back. Doughboy is beaten up, but the ball is returned to him by another Crip member. Furious...

...change for High Schools, and I must say that this is a terrible idea. Teens would just stay up later, they cannot take care of their younger siblings, and Specialty Center students or Marching Band students would not get home until five or seven PM. Teens would just have an excuse to stay up even later than they do now. The county may think teens would willingly sleep at the same time they do now, but the majority would just stay up hours later, whether or not they had a choice. Many...

...serious efforts at managing his resources properly. For example, he would indiscriminately sell duck eggs through get-now-pay- later arrangements. As a result, he often ends up with no duck eggs left to sell to paying customers. He relies heavily on intuition (memory?) when closing a deal with a customer. And, as you might expect, customers who have not paid previous accountabilities often get away with it and close a second or even a third get-now-pay- later deal! Although Jose keeps a record of some of his transactions, the entries are so disorganized that he would rather not read it. In fact, the book has served better as a scratch pad rather than as a record book. Jose intends to seek professional help for his problem on managing resources, particularly on accounting. No, he isn't seeing a psychiatrist. Neither is he seeing an accountant. He is seeing you. As an MIS professional, how would you guide Jose through the MIS planning process? Solution: In a positive way, I could say that Jose had cultivated a large network and established credibility due to his business deal of get-now-pay-later. But he is more on trusting on his customers that they will pay without a contract between them which is not good for a business. So regarding with this quality of Jose, I’m advising him to have a contracts and recordings with his get-now-pay-later customers. Also, he must declare an interest payment whenever a customer could not pay on the...

...It was a bright and sunny day on the Ocean City beach. It was me and my friends, Abigail, Sydney, Carlie, and Cami. It was Abigail's birthday. We decided to go swimming. Abigail stayed on the beach tho, she wasn't a great swimmer. She was also afraid of the sharks, which in the past few days there had been 2 shark attacks on the Ocean City beaches. That didn't bother me or Sydney. When Cami and Carlie realized that Abigail stayed back they returned to our umbrella. Soon later me and Sydney returned for a little lunch. We ate some pb&j sandwiches. About a hour later we returned to water. This time Abiagl came. We went out pretty far, Abigail started to struggle, so she swam back to the beach. On her way back Sydney spotted something swimming...

...Seminar Three Oral History Project Dorothy J. Klenow was a young girl but remembers some of the significant events that took place in her era. Dorothy was born in Iosco County November 21, 1938 which makes her 77 years old now. She lived through many different historical events from 1938 until now in 2015. Some of these are World War II, the Detroit Riots, and Marriage & Child-Rearing. Throughout this essay I’m going to touch upon all three of these historical events with a lot of facts about them and also with Dorothy’s words of remembrance of the historical events. The Detroit Race Riots that were held in Detroit, Michigan in the summer of 1967 was one of the most violent riots since Dr. Martin Luther King in 1968. The Detroit Race Riots stood as the largest urban uprising of the 1960s. Dorothy briefly remembers that she was there in Detroit when the riots started. She then had packed up the kids and left the city before anything to serious happened. That she didn’t want her or her family to be involved in the riot at all. Starting on “Sunday evening, July 22, the Detroit Police Vice Squad officers raided an after hours “blind pig,” an unlicensed bar on the corner of 12th Street and Clairmount Avenue in the center of the city’s oldest and poorest black neighborhood”. (Wang, 2007) There was a party that was taking place inside this bar that happened to be for two black men who had just returned home from Vietnam. Although the police had prepared for a few people who...

... What is something that we all go thru at one point in our lives, something that makes our word our bond. We agree to something and we decide to put it on paper for how long no matter what comes up we stick to it. Now contract can be so testy we don’t know if we are breaching it or right on task. There are contract almost everywhere that we go, when we get a car, buy a house, even when you sign up for a credit card you are putting yourself in a contact. Now every time that you think about something that you want to get into a contract with, it's always smart to think research and make sure that what you are doing is great for you. For example people everyday get into a new car contract because they really need it. Now I have done this in the past but before we got into the contract I made sure that we were able to afford it. Now something that my wife does is takes all the information that we gathered from the car lot and made sure that it would fit in our budget. Now after a long talk we were able to come to the decision that we would take the car. But we wanted to make sure that this is something that really wanted to, I know that if we were not going to be able to afford it then we would be in more trouble for not having that ability to pay for it. Now we are really going to get into this car contract a little deeper and by that I mean we are going to see what is good and what is bad about all decision that will be made in the final hours of the contract. So we will...
